Hotel los Arcos Holbox - 77310 Holbox

Simply too disgusting for human habitation. The mattresses were rotten and moldy, and the sheets so thin you could see right through them. We immediately checked out and found another hotel. No refund possible.

Everything was fine with all amenities and services the hotel promised, but hotel looks old, and lacking of maintenance, the door lock was loose, the shower was blocked in most of stream holes, the sink broken, the worst if you need something staff is rude and misleading. I ask to change my room since there was others available to be closer to wifi for a job afternoon, and the front desk an old women was faking not understanding.

We were looking for a cheap and central place and found los arcos. Most places in the current season were around 150-200 usd/night. Los arcos was around 40USD - even cheaper than hostel beds. After booking we got nervous as the reviews here were pretty harsh. However, we just returned and were pleasantly surprised Positive: - cheap! We checked again a week before our trip and couldn't find anything cheaper with that value. (High season) - amazing location right in the center, max 3-5 minutes to the beach. At night time there are a lot of foot vendors near the park. We loved it. - reception personnel was very polite and honestly cared and tried to help when something didn't work (wifi, running out of toilet paper) - we even had a small balcony facing the park. The music at night didn't bother us at all as you can simply close the door (you could hear it but it was not as crazy as described in some reviews) - water was warm (not hot, but nice after a hot day) Negative: - wifi really only works only at reception. Didn't work for me at all but I had a local Sim and every restaurant around offers wifi too - no shower curtain (not a big deal) - stains on bed sheets (were clean though. Just lot of use I guess) - reception was not staffed all the time. Sometimes you had to wait for someone - pressure in shower was weak//shower head old. Yes, you can tell it is of course an older interior but for this price and after reading the reviews I was very positively surprised. I would and will definetly stay here again. Thanks!

Poor, deficient. I arrived to the hotel at 7 pm. The room was not in good conditions. There TV was not working and there were several other details. It took about 2 hours to get everything solved. The next day I had a hard time to check out and eventually managed to leave one hour later than the allotted time. I got a nasty person at reception almost yelling at me and charged me $15 more for the additional hours which is way more than half of what the place costs for a place that to be honest is so run down that I wouldnt stay again. Btw - what about the 2 hours it took for me to properly check in the room? There are plenty of good options in Holbox. I would choose another one next time

Wifi signal is not reaching the rooms even when they advertise all rooms with internet. At night is super noisy due to the club next to the hotel. If you are looking for some decent rest at night just go somewhere else. The rest, you’re getting a decent room for what you are paying.

Very good location. You can see it's a bit old but then you are paying less than others in the same location. So one has to keep expectations real. The only negative points are: no wifi in the room and the shower has to be faced like a game ahahahha " will i have water? hot? cold? dripping ? " .. it can be fun if you are in the right mood. ;)

The hotel is super basic. Bed, Tv, air conditioning and WIFI only in the reception area. The location is great. Two blocks from the main beach and one block from the town square. I would stay here again. I paid 800 pesos per night and was the cheapest place I could find without a reservation. When you check in make sure you get a receipt. They keep track of the guests on a note book and they came to my room thinking I was checking out when I had another night. I had to go over the whole conversation I had with the receptionist to remind them I had paid for 3 nights.

Place offers the very basic. Bed, Tv and air conditioning. I paid 800 peso per night in the month of May 2022. It is across the street from the main Town Square and 2 blocks from the main beach, right next to the main bars and restaurants. You can walk in a straight line once you get off the ferry and it is less than a mile away, 7 to 10 min to be exact. Make sure you get a receipt when you check in. They were keeping track of the guests in a notebook and got confused about the number of nights I had paid. Other than that, it is as good place if you are on a budget.
