Hotel Maria Maria - 77930 Bacalar

The hotel is very well located, like two blocks away from the lake. The staff and service are very nice. It's very clean and nice place to stay. If I go again to Bacalar, I'm sure I would stay here.

Really clean! Wifi and small common kitchen on the second floor Fabiola is excellent and was great help The location is good, walking distance to restaurants, and the lagoon You rent a confortable room but don't expect luxury here, Bacalar is a small town, few services only. Go around and chat with the locals, excellent people I will go back agai , may to a different hotel ....butI know all of them are almost the same

Maria was so lovely and her accommodations impeccable (with AC, too!). My wife and I were touring around the Yucatán and happened upon Maria Maria. What luck! Maria invited us over for dinner one evening and fed us beautiful food with her family. It felt like we went to an old friend's for dinner. I can't heap enough praise on Maria Maria. Can't wait to visit again!!!

Small room,but was very clean..clean bed,,bathroom,shower..king size bed for 2. Does have a lcd t.v. With plenty of channels..Air conditioner equipped.. Stayed there 1 nite,,was there to visit the lake.. Definitely recommend anyone to stay there..and would stay again..

Wonderful place to stay with a very nice staff to take care of it and the guests. Rooms makes you feel like you're at heaven specially when you are arriving from a long day at the beach and you want to have some rest. Very romantic also.

I accidentally booked the wrong month and arrived to the hotel. They let me in the room without paying and told me they would see if they could accommodate me. They first told me I would have to switch rooms for each night I’m staying then The employee came back and told me i would have to pay more per night than the price I was given. He told me to think about it and when he came back I told him that I decided it was a little out of my budget and told them I would rather go somewhere else. Also I needed a bigger bed and my mom had difficulty walking up and down the stairs. They told me that I had to pay for the room since I went inside ( I didn’t use or do anything I was inside for 5 minutes tops) and they decided to start taking pictures of me and my mom after telling us we had to stay and pay the money they wanted because we entered the room. Keep in mind I had accidentally made the reservation a month ahead so even if the room was not booked it was not my responsibility. I was able to cancel it through booking since it was a month away but the owner really scared us following us to our car harassing us and taking pictures. They told us everyone was more expensive and that since it was Christmas we would find nothing. I found a hotel down the street just as close to the water and saved 100 bucks. These guys are just greedy scary guys harassing me and my mom not cool. Never again what a scary experience and it’s Christmas! Where is the humanity

They put me in a room that has no windows! When I complaint they told me that it had ventilation so I should be ok. They refuse to give me another room with a window (and there was availability). Also, breakfast is bread and fruit, nothing else. While the staff was polite and helpful, The owner was rude and arrogant.

BEST HOTEL !!! The staff is so nice, rooms are clean and well decorated, special thanks to Daisy ☺️ There is a super cute cat !! And parking slots !
