Very nice hotel in heart od Oaxaca

Beautiful hotel. It was a little pricey compared to some other places I've stayed, but it is right on the zocalo. They had rooms for 900, 1275, and 1500 pesos per night. There is a soda machine, and a water cooler.

ARRIVING Lets start of when you arrive to the hotel the street is closed so you have figure out that you can move the cones although the Mexican police will ask you what your doing. Ones your on the street you have to call the hotel to help you with the luggage but wait the PARKING IS RIDICULOUS they send us tourist to park 3 streets down the hotel finding the parking was a mission obviously i am not familiar with the city had to go back to the hotel and ask to take my rental car, they refused to take the car to the parking so i took one of the staff to take me to the parking which there i had to pay $100 pesos i was told its a public parking . CHECK IN TIME while checking in the receptionist kept getting calls from her daughter so unprofessional! ROOM when i booked it said we had a balcony..LIES when we arrived to our room it had no balcony then when i went to the front desk they said that its not true the website said a balcony to top it off i was being called a liar. After explaining to the receptionist that we were only there for 1 night they switch our rooms. ROOMS everything seem to be good until my sister was about to go to sleep and noticed crumbs of food and hair between the sheets so we slept un top of the covers the restroom had 2 towels 1 shampoo and 1 soap for 4 guest!!!!! CHECK OUT TIME my my husband went to the restroom in the lobby and right outside the restroom several cockroaches greeter him to the restroom!!! At at 6:30 am we had to walk 3 blocks for the car. Seriously theres better hotels to stay in. I warned you

Excellent service, clean rooms, amazing kind helpful staff... great food too!

We spent a week here and enjoyed our stay. In room amenities are spartan. Shower hard to control temp. Dangerous, pointed marble structure in shower which probably covers old plumbing. Could cause serious injury, at very least. Clean. Polite, helpful staff.

This hotel is garbage. Yes the location is good, but there are a ton of other options in the same area that are better and similarly priced. Everything in the hotel is very old, the hot water is unreliable, and the wifi is unusable (my 3G phone signal was MUCH faster). I even watched them dig through a garbage can to harass another guest about a broken lightbulb on a lamp (my lamp looked like it was literally 40 years old), and then wouldn’t let them pay with the card on file and wouldn’t tell them how much it would cost, wasting their time and mine while I was trying to check out and get to the airport. Do yourself a favor, stay elsewhere.

Perfect location, comfortable bed and a nice view of the square. Nice retro / old world charm

The hotel was clean, and the rooms were nice. But their internet connection was too weak to reach the rooms. So to use the internet, I had to sit in the hallways. This was also the loudest hotel I have stayed at. The music from the zocalo, combined with the hallway accoustics made it very difficult to sleep.
