Five stars for the outstanding service. Staff is really kind and professional. Just note that this is a simple hotel at downtown Mérida so don't expect any luxury here specially with the low rate they charge per night.

We had a reservation for 3nights. When we arrived to the hotel they told us that they are fully booked. After spending 2,5h at the reception they moved us to a much worse next door hotel without apologies.

Nice old style hotel. Good pool for relaxing after hot day in city. Do not book with breakfast. Restaurant Chaja Maja, where You have to eat, do not serv You without big tips. I think, if You have prepaid breakfast, all is done, but if You don't leave tip, next morning they terrorize You. Like for 9 person group they bring just 3 toasts. When we asked more, we were told that the rest would have to be paid for.

I typically don't post negative reviews, but this needs to happen to caution future travellers. We booked this hotel for 5 nights and left after the first night. The handle for the door was broken and the chain lock was installed backwards (so anyone could open your door). We had to wedge the lock closed to ensure it was secure for the night. There were stains on the sheets, hair balls all over the place, the faucet was broken, and there were water stains all over the roof and wall. I knew it was an older hotel that would have some character, but this was just bad.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS HOTEL. My boyfriend and I were looking for a hotel because our Airbnb was in such a bad location in downtown mérida, we were desperate and we were looking for nice hotels online until we found this one with an amazing location and rooms available in booking.com. When I showed up to the front desk one of the employees looked at me and asked "how can I help you" while I was looking at the prices that they had on the wall. I said hi I am looking for a room and he immediately said "we have no rooms left, a group of people just came and we are sold out but you can come back tomorrow and see if there's any room available". I went outside to let my boyfriend know that they didn't have rooms available and he immediately checked online and found out that they had rooms available so he continued to make a reservation. We showed up to the front desk together after 5 min that I showed up by myself and the male who told me they didn't have any room was so embarrassed and told me that the people that they had the rooms just cancelled 1 min ago. It is unbelievable how discriminatory mexican people are with the same Mexican people because as a mexican I feel so disappointed of being rejected for the way I was dressing after traveling 15 hrs. My boyfriend and I sent an email to the manager of the hotel whose name is Alejandra Lopez and she said that she investigated what happened and did nothing about it. I will not recommend anyone to stay in this location. By the way the water pressure did not work properly which affcted the shower, the toilet and the sink. The towels are in a bad condition with stains and broken and the air conditioner doesn't work properly. A really bad experience!

Great location (10 out of 10), but service needs improvement. No bar, breakfast is in a restaurant which is run by a second party contractor and is quite bad. The staff is super friendly though. Overall, it was a great choice to stay here and would do it again for sure.

Nice hotel really well -located. The room we were given had definitely not been refreshed but everything worked ok. The bathroom smelled strongly of humidity as did the room if the door was left open. Don’t include the breakfast - it’s not worth it. There’s a great coffee shop when you turn left leaving the hotel called the Old Mill- a couple of minutes away on foot. The hotel employees are nice and helpful.
