Hotel Mirador - 33435 Areponapuchi

Not sure why this is 5* hotel. Staff is incompetent. Although booking confirmed my stay, they had no room available. The staff handled the situation totally inappropriate and they were even rude. No apologies were made. When I asked for a free glass of wine as inconvenience, they told me no. It took them more than 1 hour to arrange a room.

Great view from the balcony, look for tour operators if you need a good deal on this accommodation. This is a good place to stay in between copper canyon adventure park and Divisadero ChP Station.

The view of Copper Canyon is outstanding. The rooms are small but comfortable. The food is wonderful!

Nothing compares to the beauty on the balcony ...the entire Canton in front of you. The hotel has good food, all rooms have canyon views, staff is great. But if you need cell service...bring your own data plan...wifi is very limited.

This is a beautiful setting, the vistas are just awesome from the rooms or from the restaurant's terraza. The only thing I thought was kinda backwards is that if one wants to have WiFi, one has to buy a token, which I feel it should be provided like most of the even smaller hotels do nowadays.

Hotel is at 8000 feet. Got altitude sickness. Room on second floor had to climb multiple sets of stairs. Hard to get to room with sparce oxygen in air. View from room was outstanding. Hummingbirds were everywhere.

I can only say that the '5 Stars' this resort boasts is for the views and its prices only. Unfortunately we experienced pretty awful service and dire food throughout our stay :( On check-in we needed to produce the 'confirmation email' (that they had sent!), but they wanted to charge us for using the internet to retrieve it. There wasn't any offer of assistance with our luggage, or anyone to show us where our room was. We'd paid for full-board, yet each meal was a fixed 3 course menu and was served either barely warm, or over-cooked and dried it. The staff sat around the guest areas on their mobiles and left us feeling the whole booking was a big mistake. Real shame as the location and views are stunning.

Great hotel with the most fantastic views imaginable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The food was generally acceptable, but try to eat early to ensure that it's warm. My only complaint is that despite being warned in advance of gluten sensitivities they failed to prepare an alternate menu in advance.
