Hotel NH Collection Mérida Paseo Montejo - 97000 Mérida

This hotel was a waste of time and money! I do not recommend at all. First, I booked this hotel specifically because the photos showed that the room featured large bath tubs. My reservation was for a room which had 1 King sized bed & bath tub. They gave me a room with 2 double beds and no bath tub. I called to the front office and told them that I wanted to change rooms to receive the actual room that I reserved, a King sized bad with bathtub. The gentleman said we have no rooms, then when I insisted that he upgrade me due to the error he suddenly found an available King size bed room available. Finally, we checked into the new room with a King sized bed and it had NO bath tub again. I called the front desk again and they said that if I wanted a bath tub I needed to pay an additional $,1,000 pesos to upgrade. The advertisements for this hotel are very deceitful. The photos of the rooms and amenities are deceptive. Lastly, please know that the pool is beautiful but it closes at 8pm. We checked in the evening around 8pm and could not enjoy the pool nor the bar and lounge and the rooftop bar were all closed by 8pm on a Saturday!!! I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. Also, it is very difficult to find the front desk from the under ground parking garage, there are no signs so if you have a bad sense of direction you will be roaming around the parking garage alone with no staff present to assist you.

I cannot say enough about the NH Collection Hotel in Merida. My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great experience. The entire staff is amazing, in particular Elmer, who could not do enough for us. Manuel in the restaurant was wonderful also. The rooms were cleaned very well, and a great rooftop pool area. Excellent!

Location, service, cleanness, It’s THE place to stay. I enjoyed everything.

Great modern hotel in a great location. Walking distance to via Montejo. And it’s located on top of a small shopping mall with great restaurants and a barber shop. Beds are super comfy. Rooftop very tú nice.

When arriving to the NH hotel in Merida, we were welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk. The staff knew English. Check in was easy and so fast. We had help from a staff member with our luggage. The hotel smelled very nice was clean. Our room was gorgeous with an amazing view of the city. The room came with a fridge, closet space, desk, a safe, iron board, iron, tv, and toiletries. The room was very neat and clean. They gave us a safety kit as well. The breakfast was super delicious! It had all kinds of delicious Mexican breakfast food. The NH Hotel had a pool, gym, bar, buffet, meeting room and computers. I would highly recommend the NH Hotel in Merida. The hotel is surrounded also by other restaurants, shops and salons. There are also a lot of shopping centers two blocks away.

I am giving this hotel one star for their hot shower and one star for the location. Otherwise, my husband and I were surprised by how far this hotel is from it's reviews. The service was non existent (no one ever greeted us), the roof bar is empty (towels? a drink?), forget sitting by the pool - it's teeny and has limited seating. My biggest issue is that the windows don't open in the room so you have to keep the LOUD A/C running. This got very tiresome. The rooms are also missing basic amenities like a toilet brush, conditioner, wash cloth, it had one small bottle of water (I imagine so you can brush your teeth). The bed is ok- but the pillows are thick as logs. We really missed the Mexican warmth we love so much about Mexico and considered switching hotels (and requesting reimbursement) but we couldn't imagine talking to the highly confused (and unhelpful) girl at the front desk.

My stay at the NH Collection Merida was extraordinary in so many ways. Having stayed in many 5 star hotels world wide, and many other NH hotels, my stay at this property was the best of the best. From my midnight check in, (thank you Sury) to my early morning check out the staff of this hotel exceeded every expectation. From the front desk, the restaurant staff, and the dear lady that serviced my room, take a bow, and take another..you were amazing. From the cutting edge design, to the location, and the staff, this hotel is an example of excellence. I am looking forward to my next visit in June..Thank you all for a wonderful trip..

Rooms are very nice with a good amount of space. Beds are comfortable and excellent. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good. Bathrooms are a bit small. No space in shower to place the shampoo, soap, etc. Our room overlooked the plaza and was a nice view, however, the music lasted every night until 11:00pm or later. Even with these comments, I would stay at this hotel again. The location is excellent and staff friendly.
