Hotel Plaza Almendros - 77400 Isla Mujeres

While not a traditional 4 Star hotel, a stay here offers a 5 Star experience in Isla. It's simple and clean. Beautiful pool. The AC works. Room has a microwave, toaster and coffee maker. 3 blocks from Playa Norte and surrounded by great food, drink and shopping. Quiet if you ask for a room in the back.

Excellent location and good value for the price

We were supposed to spend four nights here. The hotel is located in the center of the busiest part of town. If you're staying in rooms away from the main street, Hidalgo, it's quiet. The staff was friendly and available when needed. The photos you see are a bit misleading. The rooms are spacious, but are very dated and sparse. And though the pool itself is well maintained, the deck isn't near as nice as you're led to believe. It's an awkward mixture of grass and astroturf, and you have a step up to the pool itself. Our biggest problem with Almendros was the bed. The mattress was thin, worn out, and rested on top of a concrete base. Our hips and backs were so sore after one night that we left for another hotel. The nice woman at the front desk was apologetic, but said we couldn't get a refund on the remaining three nights due to it being booked thru a third party. Fortunately, that company negotiated a partial refund with them, so we weren't totally disappointed.

If you are looking for a clean and affordable hotel with a great swimming pool and smack dab in the middle of the night life— look no further. Very quiet during the day, but at night—different story. The entire staff is extremely attentive to any and all your needs. Five stars for customer service!

It was a very nice place. It had less steps than where we normally stayed. Cleaning was very accommodating on times. As we are late sleepers. Nice pool, Nice location, During happy hour sometimes we could hear the band in our room. No worries for us.

Stayed for 5 days Great location Super comfortable rooms The hottest water I have ever had at a hotel, good water pressure ( and the Island gets its water and electricity from Cancun so save up people) Amenities such as; Towels, soap, a small but enough refrigerator, microwave oven, and some rooms also have a coffe maker, dishes, mugs and basic silverware for 2 Room service everyday if you want Few steps away from a variety of bar, pubs and restaurants Pool and pool towels Would stay here again no questions asked Ohhh and the staff, amazing!!! Thank you Berta, Tere ( sorry can’t remember the rest) for such nice attitude toward visitors

Stayed here a month ago against my better judgement. Pool was green, our bathroom wasn’t cleaned, cockroaches in the room, and a foul smell coming from the aircon. Will not be staying again or recommending!

Room was ok, nothing special, have fridge, microwave, and coffee maker which is nice. By location it's EXTERMELY NOISY 24 hours. Literally! The reason I'm giving this 3 stars only that the second night I spent there (5/15), the room next to me had thier stero very loud until 7:30 am in the morning... that's right from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am with 2 girls dancing and singing loudly with the music.. right infront of my front window! 4:45 am, I went out to ask them if they can turn it down a little, she asked me if I have beer and offered me tequila! I went to the office to complain, and they absolutely did nothing about it.. The previous day that was the same way, but only until 2 am.. giving the location of that hotel, I didn't mind that.. but until 7:30 am ????? Too much!!!!! No?
