★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: The location of the place is awesome and the room, bed, bathroom were all good.. Negative: The wifi is really poor. I felt like I was sort of locked in the hotel. You have to tell in advance to the staff if you are coming back to the hotel late or if you are leaving before 8pm! The staff are nice and friendly but this sort of wears off some freedom to move, particularly being in the city centre you may want to go out and come back at random times. It was also a bit noisy in the corridors, having other guests making noise at 2am (even though there are signs everywhere asking people to be quiet)!.

The internet download speed was very good but the upload speed could use a lot of improvement. My room was near the lobby in the entryway for the hotel and thus was a little bit noisy. Although the room had a fan there wasn't any outside air coming in and there was no AC and that meant the room was a little bit warm and stuffy. The kindness of the staff and the cost of the room made up for some of the shortcomings and overall it was a decent value. Also, the location of the hotel was excellent and gave easy access to the downtown sights and landmarks.. Negative: Noise, room size and the lack of airflow..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff to me is what makes a hotel go from good to excellent. Carmen the front desk lady (not the person the hotel is named after) went above and beyond. Her kindness and caring made my stay special.
The property is located in an ideal setting for those who want to see the heart of San Luis Potosí. The price value equation is perfect. If you want 5 star, this isn’t your place. If you want clean, comfortable, along with kind thoughtful helpful staff this is a winner.
