Hotel Posada del Cobre - 33200 Creel

Great bargain and exceptional nice staff. Don't let outward appearance fool you. This place is charming and comfortable.

Good hotel, clean rooms, great and friendly staff. the only problem was with hot water in the morning, which was fixed later. good place for the money.

For the price you can't ask for much, there's hot water, breakfast in the morning and a gas heater in the room, oh and an HD TV. Breakfast was good, they can prepare eggs however you want them. One remark I have is that the hostess gave me a map and did not know where we were in it... Also they wanted to rent me a bike that was flat and they didn't know or have the proper adapter to inflate the tires. It's a short walk from the main street but still doable.

Although the hotel doesn’t look particularly inviting at the first sight, once you are inside you will be surprised by the cozy and friendly, almost familiar atmosphere. Temperatures in Creel in February are not really comfortable (it might freeze during the night), but there is an open fireplace in the lobby (burning in the evening) and the rooms have a quite efficient gas heating mounted in the wall (you should let some fresh air in if you want to survive the night, as was told us). In the morning a breakfast is served in the kitchen: this is an experience on its own and you can order some additional dishes if you want so (try the home made “tortillas de harina”). Creel is a very interesting place with respect to the nature and to the original habitants. Caled is in charge of recommending some trips and you should hire him: he is a very pleasant guide. There is a so called “restaurant” in front of the hotel, but although it doesn’t look very attractive and is extremely small, the hamburgers and the T-bone steaks are excellent and the vibes are particular. If you want some special beers, you can cross the road (at your own risk) and buy them in the wine and beer shop on the opposite side of the street. In Posada del Cobre you will feel as a member of the family, especially if you can speak a few words of Spanish and if you do not expect luxury.

Pretty good for the price! The room was spacious. The location was good with a shop across the road and 10 minutes walk from the bus and railway station. I liked the breakfast, it was a full breakfast, not just continental, and it was included in the price. The staff understood some English, even helped us with the excursion from another vender. The free WiFi worked fine. I cannot tell about the other hotels in the area, as it was the only one I stayed in while visiting Creel, but I was pleased by this hotel.

Nice and clean hotel with helpful stuff. Breakfast is really good with cold and hot options. My room didn't had a heater or ac, but for the time I was there it was ok. About a 5 minute walk to the center of Creel with couple of restaurants and bars.

Gas heater did not work. We got an electric one, but it was not powerful enough. Shower had virtually no pressure and it was difficult to bath, even though hot water was available. They serve a good Mexican breakfast (eggs, beans with salsa, hand-made tortilla). The staff is quite helpful.

Nice place to stay in, the cost was about 850 pesos for 2 adults and 2 kids which converts to about $42 American, also it's right in the plaza of creel, oh and also has a nice little kitchen where they serve u breakfast which is included in the price
