★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the location of this restaurant was great as it was right in one of one is the towns main plazas, I thought the restaurant was a bit underwhelming as far as taste, service, price, and portion size.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Hotel is in the heart of downtown, so many places to go all walking distance. Built in the late 1800s and staying here takes you back in time. This is our second time staying here and we love it because of its touch of history it has to offer. Staff takes priority of their guests even in the middle of a pandemic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just trying the restaurant... Acceptable food quality ( nothing fancy, taste was just ok, greasy and poor quality ingredients), poor service, nice ambiance right in front of the main Square.
Add: right after our meal, my husband and I had stomach issues :/

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This historic hotel, is conveinently located in the town center, minutes from the public buildings. The resturant food, and in the tourist area generally, was not great, but the building has old world charm and service. A lot of noise from the resturants and bars on park square late at night, but a room on second or third floor will remove much of this. The room was clean but simple. The hot tub was empty during my stay (Covid related?), but is located on the roof- along with a beautiful view.
The staff were helpful, with old world service, all be it with tips expected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is at a perfect location and provides free parking at the location, which is very rare in Guanajuato. The property had its best days but those are gone. The main plaza is very noisy at night but they have rooms facing away from the main plaza – ask for a room facing Truco.
Cons: Outdated facilities; the king bed room was small; tiny shower with a bad shower head; very slow internet at least in our room (internet in the lobby was better).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a beautiful historical hotel, in a perfect location with very nice staff members and a great restaurant. They provide parking which is great because finding a place to park is nearly impossible. The lively ambient outside and the original decor in the hotel takes you back in time. We had a great stay, and will come back.
