★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is nice and clean. However, we stayed in a room in the first floor and since 6:00 am the cleaning crew started working. It's an old building with doors tall that have an opening at the top, which allow the noise from the hallway right in! The staff took down the big piñatas hanging in the hallway. As you can imagine that was pretty noisy too! They could have done it at 9 am or so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An Ok place to stay. Very attentive and good service. I enjoyed the breakfast and the view.
Rooms are a bit too small, not to mention the size of the bathroom.
Has just what’s needed, and is a really good spot where everything, at least what I believed necessary, is close by.
Some recommendations for the hotel, if any manager or administrative employees reading.
TV
Would be a good to add streaming sticks like chromecasts, roku, or any other Android sticks to the TVs. Could be a good and cheap alternative instead of upgrading all your TVs.
Internet security
Please change your default passwords to your tplink repeaters and your Telmex modem password...
Wifi
Would suggest changing those repeaters for some mesh type solution. Would really fix those random disconnections and would also help with some speed across the hotel, as well as only having one wifi name and not needing to connect to the wifi based on your floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended hotel, we stay here every time we visit Mexico City. First big plus, we showed up before check in and they let us in because a room was free. Always irks me when hotels make you wait till 2/3 even if they have room. This is a courtesy and if the rooms are free but BIG Plus for me.
I love the interior hallways, a very unique look. I stayed there for a week and it was a pleasant stay. I like that the hotel is off of a street where cars can pick you up and drop you off. Some hotels have a pedestrian only streets and its a hassle. The rooms were clean and their cleaning service is really good. We were a party of 4 so we always get the larger rooms and those have windows, my parents have gotten the small ones without windows. They said its more cramped but they enjoyed the stay. They have a terrace with a nice view, we took our dinner up there a couple nights. They don't serve food after breakfast but they leave it open for you to go up there. The breakfast was good but nothing beats street food taste/price. My parents liked to go downstairs to buy from vendors selling food in the early morning.
The hotel is very well located, Bellas Artes, Zocalo etc is walking distance. All the streets around are heavily tourist areas so there are cops everywhere.
My parents returned to the hotel a week later and they said the staff was extremely helpful. My dad lost his phone and they let him use the phone downstairs to help retrieve it. They had an early flight and had a wake up up call at 3:30 and a staff went up to the room personally to wake him up. We have tried Hotel Ritz down the street but my family preferred Principal. There's also an Oxxo right across the street which came in handy. There were also bathrooms available in the first floor and top floor which is handy if you are with a larger party. They have these huge lockers to hold your luggage before check in and they get locked in. I have left plenty of valuables out in the open in my room and never had any issues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel was great for the price. It's located in a safe spot in Centro historico and is a short walk to most of the museums in the area. We were able to take the train from the airport to our hotel with minimal effort and walking. However, I'd recommend uber if you have large luggage.
The hotel was very clean, nice looking, and they came to give new towels everyday.
Warning: the cheapest price rooms are ones without windows and they feel really dark. We upgraded to a room with windows and it was wonderful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hot rooms, no fans, people (staff?) were up all night moving things around. Open window to the noisy hallway with no way to close it. Check in was quick and easy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food & service. The restaurant is located on 2 levels of an atrium and old stone columns with high ceilings. We ate at the bottom level. It was an amazing 1st meal for my 1st trip ever to Mexico City. Very special meal with my daughter!
