Hotel San Juan - 71980 Puerto Escondido

Nice hotel and friendly staff, good AC in some of the rooms (fans in the rest). FYI: The wifi Mail y works if you walk down to the lobby area.

Such a lovely family hotel, clean and very accessible. Centro is a little far from La punta and Zicatella but it's nice to come back to some quite after a night out. Hotel is clean and well taken care of, has a beautiful view of Zicatella and the service is definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So bad. Looks ok from the outside. Rented two room. Bugs, mold, and dirty beds. Hair and dirt on the sheets in both beds in my room. Loud, broken, open windows. Wifi didn’t work in the room. Told the front I was not going to stay. They insisted on keeping my money claiming it was used. The AC wasn’t working in my unit, so I was in my friends unit the entire 40 minutes while they tried to fix my Ac. Then discovered how awful it was. And left. My friend stayed there bc they wouldn’t refund and seriously regretted it. She got double eye infections. Her room had panty liners stuck to the wall. Housekeeping didn’t bother to clean those. I can only imagine how little cleaning is done. Just go elsewhere, anywhere else. Paraiso Escondido is right there, try it instead. They should have been fair and refunded my money. They can keep it, but karma will affect their business and it’s dirty practices.

For the money this is a pretty decent hotel and the woman owner very friendly. The rooms are small and old school but we were on the top floor and had a great view from the open deck outside our room.

We booked here very last minute for a few days due to low availability of options while I searched for a longer term stay. Pros - there's hot water and AC, the room is cleaned daily with fresh towels, soap, etc. On some days, there's even WiFi although WiFi all over Puerto Escondido is not great. Cons - our room was in a very dark hallway with very little light which made it depressing. Although cleaning was done daily, it still felt icky - the fan was really dirty, the light switches dirty (so I didn't want to touch them), and the bathroom seemed old and dirty (rusty toilet foundation, stained old sink). Pool looked green and dirty. One night, I smelled mold and decided to find another place that next morning. I couldn't complete our stay because I felt icky in the space and ended up booking another hotel that was much more modern, updated, clean, and bright. In saying that, I'm giving 3 stars because the hot water, AC, and WiFi was good to have at this price.

A really enjoyable stay very friendly. Ended up staying in a really nice room with air con and private balcony at a reduced price. The young lady at reception is lovely and speaks many languages. Very well located.

The Hotel looks nice but it's actually a quit noisy place. The staff makes a lot of noise early in the morning. And there is no security who makes sure everyone is staying quite in the evening/at night especially the rooms underneath the terrace. So if you're looking for a quite night, avoid this hotel. Apart from that the Hotel is okay.

It's not bad for the price but the room felt dirty even though they were cleaning every day. The fan was full of dirt and dust, the sink in the bathroom had yellow stains and the light switches were really dirty and I didn't want to touch them. The pool looked dirty too. On the other hand hot water and air conditioning work well. Beds are decent. Staff is ok.
