★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1st day here. A little bit rustic. Has a lot of personality. People working here are simply the best.super views from the upper level patio for coffee. Beach looks like a great one to walk and explore. Check it out later.1st impression is I would like to stay here again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, I liked the Santa Fe, but there were several issues with this hotel.
First, I reduced the rating by one point due to the very poor Internet service at the Santa Fe hotel. It was very slow and many pages would not even load due to the poor performance.
Second, we had a faucet that leaked in the bathroom sink. I reported the problem, a maintenance man looked at it and said he would repair the faucet the next morning. He may have come while we were out but bottom line is it was not repaired. We had to use towels to absorb the leaking water while we stayed at this hotel.
Third, there was a lamp unplugged with no light bulb. I would expect housekeeping to alert maintenance that the lamp was not working, but this was never addressed during our stay.
Forth, we had to request additional towels each day for an additional person staying with us. Housekeeping never seemed to know how many were in the room.
Fifth, maintenance does not seem to be a priority. It's an older facility that requires additional attention.
Due to all the additional issues I lowered the rating another point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bathrooms/showers next to te main pool are absolutely disgusting. There is a mountain of dirty/used toilet paper in the cubicle overflowing each waste bin of the toilet. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing staff, rooms are beautiful and so well maintained, and the restaurant is great (but obviously venture out to other places). Myself and my fiancé had a 10/10 stay here and we even extended our stay past the initial 2 weeks we’d planned! Rent a scooter across the road and visit La Punta and Other beaches, but Santa Fe has the best location for your base. Small warning, WiFi is weak so don’t expect to WFH here.... just relax and enjoy the place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel itself is fine, decent accommodations, staff is okay, restaurant is acceptable (no meat only fish, cheese, veggies).
But this one star review is for the shadiness of the staff. First, when we got there they tried to tell us they only had their best level of room available and tried to charge us an extra 25%. It was only after we showed them that we could book online for less that they admitted that they had cheaper rooms. Then, we needed to do laundry and they told us it would be less than $6 but when we checked out they charged us almost $40. And this is for a few pairs of socks, shorts, underwear, and t-shirts.
Lastly, the beach in front of the hotel is unswimmable which they don’t mention anywhere. I’m a strong swimmer but felt uncomfortable with the crazy currents and undertow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Front staff hassled me for my service animal. Had to show them Mexican laws regarding discrimination against registered service dogs and their handler.
The room we were put in was right next to the pool pump which didn't shut off til 3am. By the time we fell asleep, the hotel began to wake up and was very noisy.
Reminiscent of a large scale hotel like Marriot except without refinement. They will make you wear a colored plástic wristband that makes you feel like at summer camp or a carnival.
