★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your considering staying at this hotel, there are definitely better options in the area. I was excited to visit but left really disappointed with the overall experience of staying at hotel sin nombre. The room was incredibly small and very, very dark and the service was tragically sub par. The hotel also charged me for the hold and then wouldn’t refund me the full amount despite their mistake. :/

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basically this is a dressed-up lobby masquerading as a luxury hotel. When you pay close to USD 300/night you expect a certain level of amenities that are sorely lacking here. Rooms and bathrooms are tiny and dark, guests routinely fidget with hard-to-use door locks, phone in room doesn't work, lighting is awful, nowhere to store bath/make-up accessories, very poor soundproofing, no concierge to speak of, no visible manager on-site, staff just going through the motions. The list goes on and on. Yes, the lobby is beautiful and minimally designed and the vegan menu is acceptable, but a luxury hotel this is not. Save your $$$ and hope a cab over to Casa Antonieta or Casa Carmen, (both hotels we stayed in) that offer a much better experience at this price point. You'll thank me later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Appalling experience at Hotel Sin Nombre. After enquiring about changing our reservation dates, but not confirming the change, we arrived to find our room had been given away. We were then offered another, more expensive room, or to find another hotel at 1am! Absolutely no apology was offered and the staff, especially the manager, were rude and unhelpful. For one of the more expensive hotels in Oaxaca, the entire customer experience (down to asking customers to pay extra for milk in their coffee at breakfast) is so bad, it's almost bizarre.
Avoid at all costs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a disappointment, I was so looking forward to eat at the Hotel Sin Nombre Restaurant as it was highly recommended. But alas, they have a tasting menu, a 7 course menu. But since I was not realke that hungry, I asked if there was a la carte option, and they said yes. I can order any of the plates of the tasting menu. From which I assumed the portion would be larger than a sample. I ordered a cocktail, clearly stating it was for before the dinner arrived and a glass of wine for the dinner. Some minutes later some tostadas and sauces arrived as a light snack, INMIDIATELY later the "main" dish, and AFTER that the cocktail and the glass of wine. The "main" was a ridiculous tiny portion, that probably for a 7 course menu is good enough, but a la carte is just a tiny little bite. Considering that the place was almost empty I really cannot understand why they did not bring the cocktail before the food as requested. And I truly cannot believe they charged 120 pesos for a tiny little 2bite size tamal. Prices does not appear in the menu, which is strange as well. But still worse to charge 230 pesos for a glass of wine (the price of the bottle in the supermarket is 500 pesos, I know in a restaurant you pay more, but 230 for a 110 ml (ish) glass!!!!) That's an abuse. So, tiny portions and too expensive. And still worse, the 7course menu doesn't include any source of protein, not even black beans a staple food in oaxaca. I get that if I choose a dish from the seven that they offered I won't get a well balanced meal, but if the chef is offering a 7 course plant based meal, he should have considered a well balanced menu, with enough proteins. So, I am sorry for the review, I am vegan and I am always lloking forward for chefs that embrace the vegan or plant based philosophy, but this was a very disappointing experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was disappointed by my stay at Hotel Sin Nombre. From a service, standard, and operational standpoint, this hotel is an absolute mess. On top of that, the rooms are extremely small. The bathroom is a tight squeeze making it uncomfortable to move around the room in general. On top of that, the hotel doesn’t offer basic amenities and the staff tend to make inconvenient errors on basic things. For example, the staff refused to provide me with an iron to iron my clothing upon arrival and insisted I give them my clothes and pay for their ironing service. Instead of ironing my clothes, they washed, dried, and folded them, ruining a number of expensive, dry clean only items. This is only one example of the carelessness of the service at Hotel Sin Nombre. There are much better hotels in the area that you can stay at.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An artsy, cool little hotel. Rooms are small but beautifully and sustainably appointed. The white lounging area is a peaceful place to work or read or drink coffee, and the roof terrace / tiny pool is super refreshing on a hot day. Plus there always seemed to be great music playing — one night a jazz trio, live piano as we checked in, good playlists the rest of the time. Two considerations: the rooftop doesn’t seem accessible for anybody with mobility concerns, and there’s sexy art everywhere — lots of lady parts. Would definitely stay again :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We LOVED our stay at Hotel Sin Nombre. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We enjoyed swimming in the afternoon, watching the sunset from the terrace, the delicious food and drinks, and incredibly comfy bed. I hope we can come back again.
