★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The one star is for the only thing that was good at this place. The cleaning. Worst place I've ever stayed at in my life. Travelled all over the world, including Mexico. Never encountered a place as bad as this one. Don't recommend it to anyone. Overpriced, horrible customer service, low grade food, dangerous to walk around premises. Steps wherever you want to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room and service itself was alright, with the buffet and spa being average at best. However, to be absolutely frank the structure and location of the hotel work against it. So much so, that I can't in fairness rate it any higher than one star. Note, I would have rated this at least a 3 if it hadn't been for these noise issues.
In essence, if there are a bunch of people talking in the lobby, you WILL hear it from any of the rooms. The lobby is basically designed so that there's a terrible echo throughout the main building. It's particularly bad for the two rooms on the second floor that have balconies facing into the lobby, which let that echo get into the rooms as well. I'm really not sure why they thought this was a good sound design.
In terms of location, it's on a busy street AND across from a bar that insists on playing music so loudly that you will without a doubt hear it from the front rooms of the hotel. The cars on the street can't be helped, but the bar feels like it's deadset on ruining the hotel for its guests. They play that music until about 1 in the morning every night, and even after the bar closes, there has been a group of people talking in front of it for about an hours after it closes. The noise of their talking gets carried into the hotel via the windows. You either have to pray that the bar people are feeling nice, or pray that you can switch rooms. Otherwise you will NOT get any sleep for at least half the night, especially if you're a light sleeper or have other sleeping problems.
I genuinely hope that the people running this hotel might be able to improve their hotel to be more sympathetic towards their guests. Ultimately there's not much they can do about the bar and the street noise, but they should be able to at least reinforce the hotel itself to reduce that noise. It's not that difficult to invest in some soundproofing windows for the rooms near the street, at the absolute least. Or maybe get rid of the lobby balconies and invest in reducing the lobby's echo, or even replace the flimsy glass front doors with sturdier soundproof doors. I'm sure anything would have been better than what they have now.
If you are forced to get a room at this hotel, and they haven't fixed anything after my review, then for the love of all that is good, please try to get a room in the back of the hotel, away from the street!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really kind personnel, try their best to accommodate your needs. Clean hotel, rooms even better. They smell nice. When the kitchen was closed by the pool, the maintenance guy put on an apron a prepared some quesadillas for us hungry people by the jacuzzi. Awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel has a beautiful facade and wonderful common areas. Their suites have a modern look and open concept. Most hotels offer breakfast; however, not this one. Their rooms near the lobby don't have proper noise isolation; therefore, you are for an extremely noisy stay if they put you in rooms 1 to 4. Really overrated, the service is below average for such a high price per room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for a couple of nights while travelling in the area. Clean rooms with a decent amount of floor space. Modern interior. Great location for walking to town center. Only complaint is the shower water was not very warm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice rooms. Front desk staff very helpful. Stayed 4 nights, large group using several rooms. One had no AC and moved to another room. We came back mid-afternoon. To find room clean, but no towels. Called and they delivered bath rowels, but no hand towels. No hand towels again later.
Breakfast buffet is excellent. Wait staff was excellent, as well.
Everyone felt the location was great. We easily walked to the main cathedral (about 3 blocks). Streets are narrow and some car traffic, but that is the case everywhere here in town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only good thing about this hotel is the staff. The hotel needs maintenance, the room was tiny without any ventilation or window, the shower from the bathroom took 15 min to get warm water with barely any pressure. I wouldn’t recommend anybody staying here for the cost.
