It's a good, clean, simple hotel, no luxury, an ideal place just to sleep after a day of sight seeing on a budget

Clean room and great staff for an affordable price. At 10 min from the city center, it's a good place to stay and visit Campeche.

In general this place was below our expectations, but there were also few things which we liked. The super king size bed had a perfect size for our family of 3 with the 5 year old child. Shower had very warm water, but there was no warm water neither in the kitchen nor in the bathroom sink. The Internet had very good speed (23 Mbps download and ~3 Mbps upload), however during our stay it was disconnecting for 30-60 seconds once in a while, which was annoying at times. During the day it was happening like 5-10 times. The staff of Terracota hotel was very kind and were willing to help us anytime. They also cleaned our place one time for free during our 4 nights stay. If you come by car, there is a super tiny parking spot for 3 cars, which would be blocking each other, but parking would be somehow 'private'. It is an appartment within a hotel. When leaving for the city, you need to leave the keys at the reception. LOCATION: the hotel is on a small street with a constant traffic. Our windows were facing the street, so we had noise all the time (a bit less at night). During the day there are lots of passing cars and loud motorcycles. On the map this place looks like in a great location. However, the streets, which you need to walk to the market or the historical center are not very pleasant (specially at night), nor comfortable to walk - there are no proper sidewalks and you have to watch your step all the time and take care of the cars on the narrow street. A huge MEGA supermarket is just few minutes away to walk, which is very handy. KITCHEN: The description says that there is a kitchen. This was very important criteria for us when we searched for a place to stay. Appartment did have a gas stove, microwave oven and a fridge, but there were almost no utensils. So we had to give our wish list at the reception and few hours later they provided us with the pot and cuttlery we requested. All were taken from their own kitchen. It seems other reviewers of this place also had similar experience 4 months ago as well... Don't forget to ask for dish washing liquid, matches for the gas stove and a kitchen towel! Also, check if you have a trash bin in the kitchen. We didn't have one at first. The furniture of the kitchen did not work properly. 2 of the pieces have drawers, but none of them were possible to open due to the furniture wood being deformed. The kitchen and the laptop-table did not look clean when we moved in. We had to ask for the bathroom towels, since they were not in the appartment when we moved in.

Good, quiet place. Sizeable room. Hard to tell which is the hot or cold water tap as they both come out hot! But it's nice to have hot water, right! Decent shower, comfortable bed. A bit of a walk from the centre, and unfortunately there don't seem to be any restaurants or cafes around for a quick breakfast. But it was a comfortable stay while we took a trip to Calakmul.

Nice and little hotel a bit off the noisy main street. Very nice and helpful staff with little English knowledge. Rooms are clean. Bed for two is a bit small in size but we only stayed two nights. Breakfast in house is possible. But we had to walk to the pool area to the neighbor building which was still under construction. It felt a bit weird having breakfast there but it was an adventure like many things in Mexico :-) The breakfast itself was very good though! An cheap with only $60 for a plate of fruits unlimited coffee and for quesadilias...
