★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice clean hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It is located right next to a busy market and there are many vendors on the street so it's a little hectic when you go outside. However, it is quiet inside.

Extremely noisy with a street facing room. Note, the street was closed to automobile traffic.
I even asked the staff for a quiet room and they gave me inaccurate information. I know because I walked around the Hotel to gauge the volume levels. The Hotel echos with the exception of the back terrace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've stayed in the Hotel Trébol four times over the last 33 years and it gets better each time. The staff is all excellent. The breakfast is delicious. The rooms are comfortable. Best of all is the location, very near the Zócalo and the big markets. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and El Día de los Reyes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago but this time I have been quite disappointed. We reserved a deluxe king room via expedia. When we arrived we were given a basic room with a king bed. The wifi reception was terrible and the AC did not work at all. All of this was told to reception, but they rea.ly didn't care and did not fix anything.
Because it was warm during the day, we were forced to leave the door to the 12" x 6' balcony open at night to cool the room. Unfortunately our room faced the Benito Juarez market and the noise and music persisted until 2:30am! Not much sleep at all! All in all a miserable 4 night stay.
There are many great options to stay in this area. Don't. Are the mistake we did and book a hotel because it is available online. Use Google maps and look at the reviews and book direct with the hotel.
