Hotel Villa Mirasol - 37700 San Miguel de Allende

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast modest but well made to order included. Good location just a few blocks from the Jardin.

The room itself is nice but they charge you for breakfast and they give you nothing more than a coffee and a little bit of fruits. So consider it you pay for room with no breakfast. To me I felt cheated.

Very bad experience. The WiFi never worked while we were in the room. The bathroom sink was not working. The cleanning lady never cleaned the mirror of the bathroom because everytime we took a shower one can see a message written on the mirror of the bathroom. After the second night I went to speak to the hotel manager and requested to be moved to another room. She did but even though the room was much better than the other one, the cleanning lady did not did a good cleanning in this room either. We found an empty bottle of water -from the previous people who occupied the room- on the side of one of the beds. It was very obvious that the cleanning person was not doing a good job. I called the same manager and show her the bottle and she couldn't believe it herself. All she said was she was sorry and nothing else. There is no one to supervise the rooms and make sure everything is neat and clean. I am not sure if the plumbing department was informed about the bathroom sink, all I know if that this hotel is overpriced for the quality of the rooms.

Lovely little hotel. Very nice, comfortable room. Breakfast was simple, but very good; the bread was delicious. Great location, short walk to the center of this beautiful little city.

My wife and I stayed there 5 nights and enjoyed it. It is in an older building (typical of colonial buildings). The room was clean and comfortable but be aware you are getting the charm typical of SMA and not a deluxe accommodation. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My wife has a bad knee and they changed our room to one of the few on ground floor (Escondido). No elevator so If you have mobility problems make sure you get a ground floor. The hotel is near the center of town and not bad for walking. Be also be aware that San Miguel de Allende (SMA) is very hilly and has narrow sidewalks. We took many cab rides and never had any problems with any driver. I don't recommend driving in SMA. We took Bajiogoshuttle from/to the airport and avoided car rental (with ridiculous quotes for car insurance) and parking.

This is a review of the hotel’s restaurant actually. It’s simple traditional Mexican fare, but with huge portions. Don’t expect high foodie level food, but it’s inexpensive, good , and generously served. It also has a nice atmosphere with some interesting artwork.

Dropped in for breakfast for each morning of our stay nearby. Delish.

Lovely place, clean, great staff, and delicious breakfast choices inluded. Pretty quiet and great location. Junior suite was big w/ lots of storage. Giving 4.5 stars because curtains were thin and not light blocking. Need instructions on how to operate A/C and heater. Know that there might be lots of stairs involved to some rooms.
