Hotel Villablanca Garden Beach - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

We stayed here for three nights and had a great experience! Traditional room and grounds, quick access to the beach, and a cute spot for breakfast! We wish we had planned to stay here longer and we will definitely be back. We came to Mexico for a more authentic experience and feel like we got that at Villablanca.

A little dated and need new door knobs for sure otherwise is good. But good value. Close to things and staff is good.

The bathroom counter is moldy. The toilette barely flushes and leaks all over floor. The sink pipes leak all over floor. The phone in the room does not work. Even tho I have asked repeatedly no one fixes these things. The lock didn't even work The first day. I've spent half my vacation trying to get things fixed. They won't refund you. Do not go here. The staff are very sweet. Cook is great. Bar doesn't have what is on the menu.

The hotel was well kept, clean and provided exactly what they advertised. The staff were very friendly and for what I wanted it’s location was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The basic room will get the job done, smells a little musty but turning off AC opening windows in front of room and rear (restroom window) increases air flow and clears the musty feeling. . A 5 star resort it isn't. Basic inexpensive accommodation. The superior room upgrade is nice but prices about $100 a night and there are nicer properties in that price range. The onsite restaurant wasn't operating in march 2022 during my visit. Pappa hogs cafe is 25 or 30 yards to the south on the same side of the road and has good food at fair prices for breakfast. For dinner go into town (centro) and visit better places than the places in the area of this hotel.

Ive stayed at this hotel for the last 7 years and I absolutely love it! The price is great and there's four restaurants around it and and also one at the hotel! Scuba diving across the street, snorkeling across the street everything you want right there or you could walk to town or get a cab to go to town it's a great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days in April 2022. The room was big and clean. The price was reasonable. The location is awesome and close to lots of things to do. Just across the street is a nice beach that was perfect for snorkeling and shore diving. There are several dive shops right next door. We brought our own scuba gear and it was super easy to rent tanks at Scuba Mau for shore diving. We also went on plenty of boat dives. Snorkeling was even easier. We snorkeled at night across the street and saw several octopuses and cuddle fish. The restaurant at the hotel had just reopened when we stayed and the food was amazing. I especially recommend the catch of the day. Kike who worked at the restaurant was especially helpful and friendly. The grounds are really well kept and there is a tennis court that we didn't try out. The office staff was also great. They give free purified water refills at the office and were able to call for the required covid test before flying home. The room had features for divers/snorkelers like pegs to hang equipment on the balcony. We had a couple of small complaints. When we first arrived the hot water didn't get hot. As soon as we told the office they sent maintenance to check. The boiler had tripped but they quickly fixed it and it worked fine the rest of our stay. There was also no microwave in the room. I don't think they ever promised one but are used to having one in hotels in the US. Our room didn't have a dedicated area to set our laptop so we moved the tv over on it's stand. There was enough room for our laptop next to the tv but a dedicated area would be more convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel we had initially booked was overbooked and we had to scramble and ended up here. I would not recommend. The location is not good. It's not near good beaches, right on the highway, and far from Cozumel. The staff is ok. The rooms need serious upgrading. I was scared to sleep on the sheets. Also the breakfast is a piece of toast and fruit
