Very nice hotel! Butoooo, there is not enough staff! The room was dirty! The jacuzzi has very cold water and no hot water! For the same. The price is very high so that they do not have water in corridors for guests! And definitely the worst there is no WiFi only in reception !! If it's not for chef Jordan we left from day one. He looked for a way to make our stay pleasant! He is the only thing worthwhile in this hotel. I'll never come back.

Beautiful hotel in addition to villas facing the sea located in Playa Blanca, magnificent facilities with beachfront and restaurant service, located just 4 kilometers from the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo International Airport. Excellent attention from the staff and owners, I highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Private relaxing amazing tranquil beach getaway. If you want to unwind recharge & walk along miles of sandy beach watch amazing sunsets over the ocean this is the place. Large spacious rooms with kitchenettes that could have a few more utensils and cooking tools. The caretakers work dillengently to keep the pools and grounds immaculate. Zihua is only a 15 minute drive & Barre de Potosi is about 10 minutes. I would definately recommend a car if you stay at this intimiate hideaway. Renos underway while we visited. We will definately return in a year or two to see the completion. Fair price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although we mostly stay at Hotel Azucenas in Playa Ropa, we spent the day on Playa Blanca at Punta Blanca for a change of pace. Peaceful with incredible, unobstructed ocean views and magnificent grounds. Many more condos, VRBOs and restaurants are building up and many areas to explore, including a turtle sanctuary. Although there is no on-site restaurant, the staff provides local menu options and will order your meal for you, then have it delivered to you whether poolside, beach side or in your room. The grounds and suites are amazing, with incredible vistas and phenomenal attention to aesthetic details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved Hotel Villas Punta Blanca, and I hope it makes a few changes to improve even more.
First, the good news: It looks nicer than the photos. The main photo on the internet shows a piece of dead grass and a lack of loungers. In real life, the view from the best rooms overlooking the pool is spectactular. The grounds are well-kept and our room--we had the one with the heart-shaped pool--was also quite nice. We were lucky with our midweek stay because it seemed we were the only guests on site, except for one couple we saw in the pool for about an hour.
Even better news: Jordan is a spectactular cook and a kind young man. He made us a special meal and we loved it. For the menu, prices are a bit on the high side, but quite tasty, thanks again to Jordan. He also arranged a local transport service to pick up items from the pharmacy. Again, excellent service from Jordan and everyone else on site.
Now, be warned of the following: During our stay in early February 2002, the only internet available was in the lobby. Not in our room, not by the pool. Even worse, the cell service in the area is quite poor, but that’s not the fault of the hotel. All the more reason to invest only a few dollars in decent wifi after investing millions in the beautiful hotel. A minor problem is the lack of drinking water. The hotel does not provide any drinking water in the rooms, but it may be purchased from the shop.
The most unfortunate aspect was the attitude of the person who answers the phone listed on the internet. I’m not sure if she’s the owner or the manager, but she could take lessons in courtesy from the staff. Fortunately, with the exception of being hung up on once before we arrived and another complete lack of response from a text message during our stay, the staff is quite friendly and as long as you don’t care about wifi or cell service, the place and the staff are wonderful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lack of WiFi, noisy airlines overhead and the building/grounds in serious need of maintenance or renovations. Those are some of the reasons we left the next day. Wire chain link fence between the pool area and a gravel pit of broken down vehicle is not a relaxing view. Ungroomed Beach with washed up garbage (including a syringe ?). Not safe for moonlight walks. Lack of anyone in charge or at the front desk was troubling. They do not produce any kind of invoice or statement for your stay!? Is that even legal? There are much nicer places to stay in Zihua for much less dinero.
