★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely food, we got the recommendation to go here from a local. Best guacamole and piña colada we've had in Mexico and Guatemala. Good prices. Go to this lovely restaurant instead of all the tourist traps!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the hotel one night (Jan 20, 2019) and I used my VISA credit card to pay for the room at the front desk and someone there used the data off the card to make 6 online fraudulent charges the very next day. Thankfully my bank caught the suspicious charges because I had not used the card for over 4 months( thats how I know for sure it was the people at the hotel). I was really saddened by this because I have stayed at this hotel before and my whole family really like the hotel. This is a really nice hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. PAY CASH AND GET A RECEIPT!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location in shady Cañada area, but still walkable into town. Very clean, quiet and good price. Simple, but cozy rooms with some nice touches. Good hot water. Good WiFi-- strong enough that I still had connection at a nearby restaurant! Nice cotton sheets, towels and bedspread (cotton is so much more comfortable in the heat!). There was a fan so that I didn't have to use the AC (which I dislike). Plenty of space to put my stuff in the bathroom. A "desk" area for using a computer. A safe. Hooks and hangars for clothes. Lots of restaurants and resources (pharmacy, stores, etc.) conveniently nearby. Just a few blocks from bus station and can walk to catch a colectivo to Palenque ruins or Ocosingo. Staff was pleasant and helpful. My kind of place-- I'd stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Centrally located at a reasonable price this hotel is worth checking out.
Rooms had two double beds with tv and food air conditioning. A small hotel safe and basic toiletries. Place was quiet except for some day time maintenance banging .
Didn’t eat food at the restaurant in hotel. Wasn’t really much in town that took my fancy food wise.
Good laundry down the hill over the bridge and on your right. Fast and good work.
Wheelchair friendly on ground floor. Kid friendly. Wifi works best in foyer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing location! Just a couple minutes walk from the bus station in the hotel district which is like a lush beautiful park. Palenque is very walkable town; walking to the center area felt like nothing (probably like 5-10min walk).
The room is simple but very clean and its shower has the best water pressure during our stay in Mexico so far. The staff are friendly and professional. The hotel also has water (cold!) for the guests to refill...super comfortable stay and we extended our stay :) highly recommend!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Museo Xibalba worked out perfectly for my stay in Palenque; great location, clean comfortable room, reliably hot water, a block away from the colectivo stop to the ruins and very reasonably priced. They also offered a day tour to the archeological sites of Yachilan and Bonampak. It was a little more expensive than some similar offerings in town but had the (important) advantage of leaving a half hour earlier than the usual time (5:30am instead of 6:00) which made for getting ahead at the first site. The driver was excellent and the food provided (breakfast buffet & lunch) was also very good. Guides will offer their services when you arrive at the boat dock to Yaxchilan and I strongly recommend taking advantage of that option. Our group had an excellent tri-lingual (English, Spanish and Chol (Mayan dialect)) guide from the Escudo Jaguar organization named Jesus (‘Heyzeus’); definitely grab him if you can! Extremely knowledgeable and well deserving of a healthy tip/propina above his extremely modest base charge (as is the driver; it’s a fourteen hour day!). All in all a stellar experience and highly recommended.
