Don't like it. Particularly the barricades to the common areas.

Loud construction nearby for next 2 years. Beautiful amenities.

I have lived here for almost 6 years. Yes, we have had problems, but in spite of all of it, El Dorado is still the most beautiful Condominium in the Lake Chapala area.

Nice place, only issue is other guests have 0 tolerance for noise during the day in public areas.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Hospitality was atrocious, in fact antagonizing. The employees there were horrific. One employee, Esteban, and his coworker, a female with a nasty attitude, are the absolute worst. Instead of the incredible hospitality that Mexicanos usually provide and are known for, the staff at El Dorado were the extreme opposite. During my stay, a shower head broke, clearly a result from wear and tear (it came crashing down by simply picking up the handle to use it). I, of course, was honest enough to report what had happened (I could have easily not said a word and collected my security deposit without them noticing). To my astonishment, immediately both Esteban and his female coworker accused me of breaking the shower head by "abusing it", essentially calling me a liar. They took it one step further and called in a maintenance worker to assess whether it was broken by maltreatment. It was impossible to make such an assessment given based on simply looking at the hardware. And I TOLD THE TRUTH - IT CAME CRASHING DOWN by simply trying to pick it up to use it. Worse yet, they then proceeded to charge me for the repairs and refused to give me my security deposit in full. This was truly disgusting. I was honest enough to report a malfunction on their part and they turn around and accuse me of lying and proceed to charge me for it???? Truly sickening. The money issue is not what infuriated me as much as the fact that they accused me of lying. Instead of believing me when I was reporting what actually happened, they turned everything around and accused me of lying. I repeat, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND IT'S TWO-FACED EMPLOYEES!!!!!!

Wonderful Boutique Hotel with charm and attentive staff

Our family had a wonderful stay for three weeks in June at Eldorado and now plan to stay the next year in an amazing Condo with the most beautiful views of the lake. Thank you to Esteban and Centeya for the hospitality and professionalism you both demonstrated during our stay. We look forward to joining the El Dorado community!

Not a hotel. Short term monthly rentals are available. Why five stars.. hell I live here. Great lake views, beautiful clubhouse, exercise room, Infiniti pool. Guard gated with over 100 homes in community.
