Loved Zomay! I used my credit card travel points at this hotel and totally fell in love with it. As a guest, the front desk gives you their whatsapp number and it's like a direct concierge/answers all the questions. The ladies kindly booked by boat tour, taxis, rental bikes and covid test with ease. The room was so perfect and the hotel property is SO beautiful. The free breakfast each morning is INCREDIBLE and the staff serving by the beach are so kind and helpful. Free fresh squeezed juice and coffee every morning too. Zomay is located right near the community sunset hangout on the beach. Really loved being able to walk down to the beach every sunset and be around a vibrate group of people. No pool which I didn't mind at all. Lots of hammocks. I had hot water showers! The bed I my room had a 4" foam pad on top. I absolutely loved waking up in this dreamy hotel for 5 days and simply being. Thank you Zomay!

Paid $50 for a great location on the beach to chill for the day. We were invisible to staff (even after 8 hrs) and no one likes an unfriendly bartender. Would not recommend!

The good: The thing that makes this place good to stay is the beach. the grounds and beachfront are absolutely amazing. beautiful hammocks and daybeds. even nice at night including live music at sunset. beaches and grounds well taken care of! breakfast was good. bed was comfortable. The unfortunate: The room is absolutely not worth the $240/night price, in any way. this room is worth more like $60 a night. I would normally say who cares, worth it still JUST for the beach front, but it’s just not. I would recommend staying somewhere else and then just coming and buying a daybed for the day. the room had weird fluorescente lighting in a completely white (and pretty dirty) room. really unappealing and REALLY a bummer when trying for a romantic vibe. there’s just no vibe at the hotel rooms honestly. for that price you would think they could afford some nice decor. no hot water available. no wifi (though we expected that), no dresser or really any furniture in the room save one open rack for hanging clothes. the door even had cracks so mosquitos were constantly coming in! given the price expectations were much higher. really disappointed. :(

Great little hotel at the quieter end of the island but still only 5 minutes walk to the restaurants and bars. Great bar on site famous for the sunsets so gets busy in the evening. We had a standard room that had a little garden, safe and fridge as well as Aircon. WiFi was better than expected. Breakfast is included, it's a served option and there is plenty to choose from. There are loungers and beds for hotel guests and at seat service from bar for food and drinks.

I really want to give this more stars. I loved loved loved this place. The grounds are amazing. So so beautiful. However the service at the bar was the worst. These Argentinian guys are on total island time. We ordered drinks and watched the guy go eat eat some chips and check his phone before making our drinks. The next day the same thing. They just look out over the water and get on their phones like they totally forgot about you , but they didn't, they just don't care and don't get in a hurry. I've never seen anything this bad. They obviously don't need the tip money. Drinks were also weak. For$9+ a drink in Mexico you would expect better. I didn't get a buzz the entire time. We went down the beach and had so much better drinks for $5 and a $30 massage at a little hut that was great. Breakfast was awesome. Rooms were very basic but nice enough. Front desk staff was great. Walking down the beach and to town was easy.

I stayed for 4 nights in a standard room next to reception and was very happy! The room was basic, but clean and had strong AC. Wifi also consistently reached my room, but it may be because I was closest to reception. Everyone working there was friendly and eager to help, from the reception to Maintenence to the restaurant/bar staff. I saw other reviews mention bad staff attitude, but I get the sense it is a seasonal job for many (mostly from Argentina) and everyone there during my stay seemed happy and hardworking. As others have mentioned, sunset here is amazing and the beach club has a beautiful quiet stretch of sand in front of it. Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect stay at Zomay. Seconds from the beach walking through beautifully landscaped gardens. Free breakfast was excellent, large choice from a menu, unlimited coffee, juice & water. Guests can make use of the sunbeds all day with a very reasonably priced menu, the service was flawless from all the friendly staff! Finally, the hotel runs a beach bar which is arguably the best spot on Holbox for sunset.

Recommended. The setting was beautiful with rooms set in a tropical garden overflowing with tall palm trees, leading on to a substantial private beach which is set far enough back that even at high tide there is plenty of sand. The food (including breakfast) is good and the cocktails delicious. The beachfront bar is a great and popular sunset gathering point. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just at the edge of the centre of town - it’s a pleasant and convenient position. We had a great time.
