Hoteles Rio Queretaro - 76000 Santiago de Querétaro

The hotel greatest advantage, it's the location: at the core of Querétaro's center, it makes it a perfect starting point to visit all the tourist attractions in the area. It's also in the middle of a nice alley, surrounded by a few outdoor restaurants. The rooms have a good size, with a small locker with a security box. The bathroom is small. It has a hair dryer attached. There are a few problems: the parking area is pretty small (less than 10 cars) and is constantly crowded. The bathroom felt cramped. The indoor area is pretty small, an other than a small fountain, there isn't much else to see. The WiFi signal was surprisingly weak inside the room; pretty much useless. The staff's chief attitude wasn't good either, in different days. Look for deals, because the standard fare is definitely too expensive for what you get. There are better alternatives in the city.

There was no Air conditioning and still 5 stars. Spotless clean, well decorated with a nice basket with water and towels and such when you check in. The staff are SUPERB! It was such a relief to arrive at a place with exceptional service.

I spent 3 nights here, prior to leaving Mexico, after 8 months of Covid lockdown. I LOVED Queretero, and loved Hoteles Rio, which had been recommended to me by my Colombian friends, who stayed here 2 weeks before me! It is perfectly located, very central, and yet set back from the road, making it quiet. The front-office staff, Guadalupe, Hector and Roberto, are EXTREMELY kind and patient and very helpful, and the hotel Is maintained spotlessly clean by the lovely young cleaning woman, whose name I have forgotten! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Sue returning to Morocco.

Perfect location and beautiful architecture. Clean, cozy, and friendly staff. Spacious room. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, close to many restaurants, monuments, museums and parks.

The pictures are great compared to the actual hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms offered online are 431 sf, but the actual rooms are tiny, with tiny uncomfortable beds and uncomfortable bathrooms. In the end we had to pay extra to upgrade to a room that was the size of the rooms in all of the pictures. Also, the hotel is a bit noisy and it's difficult to get a good night's sleep. The restaurant (el Rinconcito) is actually quite good. It really makes up for the hotel's many deficiencies. Personal opinion is that one could always just stay elsewhere for a good night's sleep and go to "el Rinconcito" restaurant for good food.

The hotel is nice, but I'm leaving only 3 stars because the restaurant was terrible. The torta was sad and dry, the shrimp tacos were greasy, and the mezcal was absurdly overpriced. 265 pesos per glass!?? Our bill for a light meal at the restaurant ended up higher than our hotel room.

I was alone and unfortunately my Spanish is not the best. I needed help with things and the employees were first rate! They were always available, helpful and kind. The restaurant staff as well! The food was also very good and fresh. The hotel was very clean and decorated nicely.
