Hotelito Yum Kaax - 97000 Mérida

Great service, beautiful garden. I recommend booking a room with a terrace/balcony. We loved our stay in Merida.

Hotelito Yum Kaax was like an oasis in the big city | Perfect value for money | Location: in the city center, short walk distance from Plaza Grande, but in very calm and quiet spot | Ladies that work there: extraordinarily kind and helpful, always smiling - very professional, never overwelming with their presence but always there for you | Great landlord: very helpful and responsive | Great atmosphere: relaxed, home-like, very nice design of interior private garden with the pool and sunbeds where you can relax after long day of sightseeng | Terraces/balconies in every room | Small hotelito where you can feel private and chilled out | High standard rooms (very spacious and clean, AC, fan, blackout blinds, towels, cosmetics, comfortable bed and pillows, nice bathroom, hot water, TV) | Delicious breakfasts that you can order for any hour that suits you (every breakfast consists of fresh fruit plate!!! <3, eggs/pancakes, tea/coffe) | You can buy cold beers at the place - important when you're tired after long transfer

Beautiful place, very quiet at nights, close to the centre and ADO bus station. Leonardo, the owner, is always in touch and willing to help with everything! Thank you, we had great time in Merida !

What an amazing place in Merida! Pros: If you want to stay in Centro, walk to the main square, and eat great food, this is your place! Our host was exceptional, gave great suggestions, and even arranged a 5am taxi pick up so we could catch our flight! Cons: if you're using Merida as a home base for day trips, it's a bit far from the highway. Whatever your reason for visiting Merida, you need to stay here for at least a night. Incredible!

This is a lovely place to stay. Firstly, Leo was very informative about the whole process of self check in. And he’s extremely polite, friendly and helpful, always ready to answer my questions or help me with minor issues. He also gives out recommendations of restaurants/bars, attractions and daily events of Merida. I got the pool suite, and it’s comfy. Room is big. The kitchen is useful especially with the coffee machine. Fridge was certainly a ++ to have cold drink after a hot day out. One of my requirements here in Merida was to find a room with a fridge due to the hot temperature of this city. Many hotels I have shortlisted don’t have a fridge. But this hotel does. Location is great, in a relatively quiet street away from the main center, but still within walking distance to the main square. It’s also walking distance from Terminal ADO centro historico. Water pressure is good. Hot water is hot (if you need one here). The pool is a bonus to cool down from a hot day. Housekeepers are always smiley and friendly. Overall, two thumbs up.

For the price, I don't think you can do any better. The hotel is calm, beautiful and nicely furnished. The location is good, 10min walk from the city centre and the cathedral. It can, however, prove tricky to find (do not trust google map, the location is further down the street) as there's a few doors with the same number (by mistake, we entered someone else's house while searching....).

Nice stay. Complete kitchenette. And good communication with the staff. The swimming pool is good to cool off after a hot day. It's a 10 minute walk to the city center. Just go out the door to your left and go straight on.

The hotel was excellent in presentation and cleanliness. The staff were supporting and knowledgeable and gave great tips for our Merida visit. The pool and air-conditioning were a real delight in the middle of an April in Mexico. You can see the owner takes great pride in this establishment.
