★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La hoya de las Huahuas es un agujero en la montaña formado por el colapso de suelo calcáreo. Está ubicado al norte de la Huasteca, entre Xilitla y Aquismón.
Tiene 478 metros de profundidad de los cuales solo 220m son visibles y un diámetro de 60 metros. Principalmente habitan los vencejos de pecho blanco y el perico verde los cuales etnicamente son llamados huahuas, de ahí el nombre de este lugar.
Despues de subir por la montaña un aproximado de 820 escalones de puedra, el atractivo principal es el despliegue de las aves entrando al sotano al atardecer a una velocidad en picada a su nidos de aproximada de 100 km/h, en el lugar se puede escuchar el zumbido literal... Generado por las aves al caer en picada, un verdadero espectaculo natural que no deben perderce!!!

The Hoya de las Huahuas is a hole in the mountain formed by the collapse of calcareous soil. It is located north of the Huasteca, between Xilitla and Aquismón.
