HS HOTSSON SMART Chapala - 45908 Chapala

A nice hotel, a few minutes from Chapala and Ajijic. The rooms are comfortable, with some stunning views; the staff is kind and helpful and there is a nice pool. Overall, it is a very good place to stay, though I feel that, for its price, it would be nice if the rooms were equipped with a microwave and a fridge, since there is no restaurant in the hotel.

Hotel room was clean, staff is very attentive. However the beds are apparently made of concrete. They are not comfortable at all.

The people are very nice and considerate. Good place to just rest and relax. Update on April 27th 2022: I just had one of the greatest meals I've ever had. I ask for something different and the chef made one of the greatest meals. I can't just say greatest steak. I have to say meal, cause all of it was great. I really think that this needs to be on the menu.

Sweet spot on the road. Beds, linens, pool, dining always a pleasure.

Just got back from a very pleasant stay at the Hotsson Smart Chapala. The hotel is in excellent condition. My room was spacious, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water and very good water pressure. The included breakfast, through limited, was delicious. (There were more options on the menu, for an additional price.) The pool in the pictures was out of order when I tried to use it, but I was lead to another pool further away. This pool was smaller but located on the hotel's beautiful grounds. I encourage you to go out and explore these lovely grounds. The staff was very helpful, providing transportation and taking care of an issue I had with my keycard without any trouble. Location is not ideal, as a car is needed to get anywhere, nothing is really within walking distance and they are a bit strict with letting people in at the entrance at the bottom of the hill. Besides these small issues I think the hotel was great and would not doubt in returning in the future.
