Está enclavado en la sierra, es una comunidad netamente rural, su situación Económica es precaria pues la mayoría son campesinos y amas de casa, Cuenta con tres escuelas jardín de niños, primaria y secundaria y. Esta comunidad fue devastada en Un 80% en el sismo del 19 de septiembre de 2017, actualmente aún se encuentra en reconstrucción. La escuela primaria sufrió daños graves en un 80% de su estructura y también se encuentra en reconstrucción. La ayudantía municipal colapso al 100%,. aún no ha sido construida la nueva . La reconstrucción la está llevando a cabo la asociación civil *vecinos contigo* (cabe mencionar que el gobierno de EPN y el gobernador Graco Ramírez no aporto ningún peso $$$ para esta reconstrucción de la comunidad). No cuentan con servicio médico, solo llega una unidad del centro de salud los días martes, no hay ningún médico particular en la comunidad. El servicio de transporte (combis) es cada media hora,. No hay servicio de taxis. No cuentan con servicio de agua potable. Tiene una techumbre de usos múltiples donde se llevan a cabo actividades deportivas y sociales. Cabe mencionar que quien aportó también una ayuda enorme para la reconstrucción de viviendas fue el ejército mexicano.
