Historia de CultiCiudad AC

La Organización se constituye formalmente en 2009 bajo el nombre de Colectivo Sembradores Urbanos, que fue una de las organizaciones pioneras en el tema de la agricultura urbana en la Ciudad de México.

Entre 2009 y 2012, tuvo como centro de operación el Huerto Romita, a partir del cual la organización desarrolló proyectos comunitarios con la comunidad local así como con diversas instituciones.

La organización recibió apoyos del Banco Mundial, Fondo Canadá y la Fundación Starbucks que permitieron desarrollar proyectos comunitarios con vecinos del Huerto Romita, en las Comunidades para Adolescentes (DGTPA) y con dos escuelas oficiales de la Ciudad de México.

En 2012 la organización cambia su razón social por Culticiudad AC, obteniendo la autorización como donataria y se conforma como la parte social de la empresa Cultiva la Ciudad S.A. de C.V. para desarrollar el proyecto socio-ambiental de Huerto Tlatelolco.

De esta última actividad se desprende el proyecto Come de tu Cuenca, en el que chefs de la ciudad suman esfuerzos para ofrecer una serie de menús y degustaciones. Si tienes tiempo de visitarlo, vive la experiencia completa y maravillate de lo que puede ser un huerto urbano. Por fuera parece pequeño pero es un terreno amplio lleno de árboles, hortalizas, flores y personal trabajando la tierra y no solamente el lugar en si te da esa sensación de tranquilidad sino la atención de l@s encargad@s es relajado y amable que te hace sentir que estás en el campo. LO MALO: Es necesario acercarse para descubrir que es un huerto ya que a la lejanía, entre edificios y avenidas transitadas se enconde éste lugar tan maravilloso. LO MEJOR: No solo es un lugar que puedes admirar, también puedes comprar semillas, plantas y legumbres, además de que puedes ser voluntario o tomar cursos. Es toda una experiencia visitarlo.
