I just spent 5 days at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun. The location is unbeatable. It is at the very end of the hotel zone. I stayed in the Club Tower. We had a gorgeous view of the sunrise and could see the sunset through the other hotels. We had our own private pool for our tower that was so warm. We loved it! The food was delicious. We had so many options - the buffet that had a different theme each night, Asian, Mediterranean, steakhouse, dessert shop, taco truck, burger by the pool, a bar in the pool, and more. Sadly I got sick yesterday and today. My two friends got sick 2 days before me. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Our room and the whole hotel was spotless everyday. The pools and sand were sparking clean. The people were our favorite part. They are so kind and joyful. They definitely radiate the sun in their smiles and attitude and made our vacation full of joy everyday.

Looks exactly like in the pictures on booking.com. I really liked it. The pool area and the ocean were amazing. + The resort has A LOT of employees that are constantly cleaning every area and doing maintenance work. I really appreciated this. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and the shows were way better than what I expected in a resort. - The food is okay, but not a life-changing gourmet-experience. The breakfast was great. For lunch it is mostly burgers and tacos. The main restaurant, which offers Mexikan buffet, is catering mostly to the needs of families with kids (pasta, fries, tacos,...) and at the other restaurants there are sometimes (short) waiting times in the evening. The rooms are pretty basic in terms of layout and design. I also think that in this kind of climate, it is hard to keep the AC perfectly clean at all times.

I have been visiting the Hyatt Ziva with my family every year for about 5 years now. It has been amazing! All the ladies at the kids club to all the incredible staff that make it what it is. You all are truly amazing. A special shout out to Elvis- the entertainment director for making our stay worthwhile. He went above and beyond to accommodate a special show for our entire party. Also Marisol who did everything she could and helped with our reservations. Thank you so much!

The pros: The amenities are wonderful, great location, and a very swimmable beach with gentle waves that the kids can splash around in. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Cons: Housekeeping can be inconsistent. It is now 3:00 pm and the housekeeping have yet to show up (we do tip consistently everyday). There was turn down service on the second night, and then nothing. Also, the resort restaurants seems to be unable to keep up with the demand at peak times. Our family of 4 went around to all the restaurants at dinner times and was told by almost all the locations that the waiting times would be… indefinite. Room service has limited selection but good quality of food. Finally, prime location around pool are reserved for cabanas which charge a minimum of 109 dollars per day, which are fully booked all the time, I have checked multiple times throughout the stay and am feeling a little frustrated by hotel’s inability to deal with the overwhelming demand from food to amenities. Highlights are the dessert bar, and the cafe which always have great coffee. Overall feel is of a very very very busy cruise ship, which makes me apprehensive about booking cruises in the future. Most staff are friendly and hardworking but perhaps overworked.

Decent price and incredible experience overall. It's situated on a kind of corner of the hotel zone so you have water all around and you're not right on top of another resort like others look to be. There's a lighthouse kind of on the property you can walk up to as well. Our room had a swim up semi private pool, highly recommend! It wasn't a huge upcharge either. Lovely restaurants/bars with delicious options. The coffee shop is open late which we loved!! The spa was obviously pricey but insanely luxurious and we loved our massages. The staff heard it was our honeymoon so they decorated our room. All around incredible resort and we will be back.

The Chef Alexia, and the waiter Ivan continued the tremendous service we have received at the hotel. But on the night we had dinner at Maria Marie the went even above tremendous. It was my wife's birthday and we were looking at the menu when the chef came over and said he had a special tonight if we would like to try it. We agreed and they brought out a wonderful seafood platter for my wife and I to share. Every restaurant and every member of the staff has constantly been trying to provide great service.

We Went down for a wedding in February for 6 full days. Overall, the property is absolutely stunning and the beaches are amazing. Cabana's on the beach are really decently priced and the service is great. The food is fairly good the best restaurants in my opinion were Trade winds, The Italian place, Chevy's, and the coffee/Candy store are AWESOME. There are 2 beaches, the rockier private beach and the public beach that connects to the Cancun strip. Tons of different pools and they are SO nice. The staff are great, top notch service. There were really only a couple of things that stopped me from giving it 5 stars. The complimentary covid tests are great, but the administrative work is a little wonky. We went to schedule the test before our return and I asked the nurse 3 times if the time she scheduled us for was too early. She told us not to worry and we show up for the time she scheduled us for and the attendant told us we were way to early and to reschedule. Spent 15 minutes of our vacation trying to sort this out and get it rescheduled. Go back the next day for our time we were told and again, they tell us we are about 2 hours early. Obviously upset the attendant smiles and gets us back for the tests immediately. Resolving the issue quickly. Another thing that irked us a little was the Cabana booking. We asked our cabana attendant to book us another Cabana. We call the next day to cancel it because I wasn't feeling well and they tell us we can't cancel unless it's 24 hours prior, she looks us up and the cabana was never booked so everything worked out, but I'd like to think the communication would be a little better. Not a big deal or anything. We went to the spa instead which was amazing. Overall it was a wonderful stay, the wedding was beautiful, and we had a great time. Definitely top tier all inclusive in Cancun.

Everything was great just like you would hope for at a very nice AI resort. Advantage at the Hyatt Ziva location is that you have 2 beaches- a calmer beach on 1 side and the public beach with bigger waves on the other side. The pools are super warm. The entertainment every evening was nice. Everything looked clean and attention to detail was evident. It wasn’t too loud in the day or at night. It was family friendly but also attractive to adults as well. Very nicely done.
