★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an amazing resort. Unlimited drinks and food. Good food is the tricky part because not all the food is good. Italian restaurant is hit or miss. The Mexican restaurant is good. The steak place is really hit or miss. The Asian cuisine place is defiantly the best, I would totally recommend to go there. The pool drinks while free are defiantly watered down, which honestly is a good thing, no one wants super wasted people in a pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel and the scenery are beautiful. My room was huge and I could step out the patio doors right into a heated pool. I could see whales swimming in the bay from my room. Now the problems - I am disabled and use a three wheeled mobility scooter. The beautiful beach was completely inaccessible. The excursions offered were inaccessible. Restaurants and shops, pools and hot tubs, were mostly accessible, but if you want to explore the wonders of nature, you are mostly out of luck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just returned last night from a fabulous 4 night stay! The all-inclusive experience was the best that I've had by far! Every staff member that I encountered was friendly, professional and happy to be there! Every room offers an ocean view, which was so nice to leave the patio doors open and hear the crashing of the waves.! The resort is on the smaller side, so there isn't a far walk from ocean/beach to pool area. Wait staff at the pool is reliable and accommodating, shout out to Jose and Alejandro!! There is no need for reservations at any of the restaurants, which is incredibly annoying at other resorts. Much of the food at the buffet is made fresh and to order. The food selections also change each day so you don't get bored after a few days. If you don't see it, you can ask and they will try their best to make it happen! Best food for me was the fresh fish on the beach, the fresh made ceviche, and the appetizers at the Asian restaurant. Amazing trip!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay at this resort hotel offered us one of our best holidays ever. The ambiance, private beach, staff, food, room size and cleanliness were all excellent. We travel a lot and this met our highest standards on all levels. I don’t understand a couple of the poor reviews I have read as we found all aspects of the hotel to be excellent. Special thanks to Paulina and Andrea from Vivaz, Hector and Joel who made my special birthday dinner so memorable, Hector from Blaze and Jose from the beach service who seemed to anticipate our every wish before we even knew it ourselves! We will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you for such a lovely holiday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The good are the location and service. Awesome beach with wildlife and activities. It was beautiful and a lot of fun.
The food was okay. The Mexican food was always excellent, but honestly I'd shy away from just about everything else. The Asian restaurant was plain bad, the Mexican restaurant and steakhouse were pretty good depending on what you order.
A majority of the service was great. Front desk workers and most of the waiting staff were awesome. Occasionally you'd get someone who was a little rude or short but overall pretty happy with that.
We stayed in a standard king, not the club side of the resort. It's pretty run down. The room was fine overall but nothing special. Needed paint and renovations. Tiny TV not that we really used it. The air conditioning is ridiculously loud and blasting 24/7 because it's unable to keep up with the heat. Our room would be 25-26*C much of the day and into the night even though we had the thermostat set lower.
The elevators though... I didn't know I could hate elevators as much as I hated those. Most of the time it seemed like only one was functional for the whole building, and the one that worked was small, incredibly slow, and liked to close on people as they run through the doors, even if you try to hold it open. We spent a lot of time waiting for an elevator or climbing 8 flights of stairs because there was always a huge queue of people waiting. Wished we didn't get "upgraded" from our ground floor room we booked.
We honestly never used a pool. They looked packed and small, but luckily the beach was excellent so there's no reason to, unlike Cabo (our other Hyatt all inclusive experience).
All in all, I wouldn't mind spending a few days here again but would like to see some upgrades before coming back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First the bad..
The room we booked (swim up suite) online was under renovation when we arrived. The manager gave us a ocean view room and knocked one night off which made us feel a bit better, but the only reason we booked this hotel was for that room. Plus I'm sure they knew about this sooner but didn't tell us until we were there checking in which I thought was kinda shady. The room we got was okay. The shower was horrible and the TV speaker was blown out. The elevators didn't work half the time and when we went to check out they didn't work at all and we had to haul our 50+ pounds suitcases down 9 floors of stairs. Not ideal. The building itself needs renovation. The grounds were nice though some of the shrubbery was overgrown and needed tending. I wouldn't even bring up most of these things but for the price we paid to stay there I would expect better conditions.
The good... the view. The view made the problems of our room and hotel in general bearable. The location right on the beach was amazing and hearing the waves as you slept was awesome. The food was amazing. I'll say that again.. the food was amazing with exception of the Mexican restaurant which we didn't care for as much. The Italian and Asian restaurants were amazing. The staff was the most friendly staff we've encountered on our travels. Amazing people! The drinks were great! Well mixed and balanced. Even the people on the beach selling their wares were amazing! Say hi to David and be sure to talk to Eazy if you go! All in all it was a great place to visit even with the confusion of the room and some of the conditions of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and will probably return at some point in the near future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has a beautiful private beach all to itself. This is not common for other resorts in the area. We loved how kind and helpful the staff was. The food was great, especially the buffet, Mexican, Asia and Steak house restaurants. They really took care of families and had a "Kids Club" that had kid friendly activities going throughout most of the day. We were also impressed with the evening entertainment. Some of the best fire dancing and break dancing I have ever seen was at the evening show a couple different nights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best vacation experience I’ve ever had. This all inclusive high-end hotel was in expensive for what you get. Surrounded by mountains one exclusive entrance made it safe and beautiful. It’s exclusive beach kept clean and filled with cabanas. We ate whenever we want it all the restaurants were kept open there was 24 hour room service and being all inclusive nothing to pay just eat whenever you want, a s restaurant an Asian restaurant breakfast buffet with tons of selection, an Italian restaurant all at your whim. They had a large number of amazing infinity pools all kept warm at all times, and crystal clear. And the staff where to begin with the staff the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Layout of the cabana and order drinks in a club sandwich or whatever you want to eat they bring it to you no questions asked. Always friendly service with smiles no ask is too much. Tons of activity available they’re professionally maintained and serviced by an excellent staff what more could you ask. Nobody hound you on it’s private beach trying to sell you goods because only approved (uniformed) vendors are allowed to sell on the beach and they never come up to you they only show their goods and keep walking. No rouge sellers can get on this private beach because the only way to get on it is through the gated security entrance. Congratulations go to the Hyatt Viva management on an excellent experience
