[1]El Espíritu del Señor Soberano está sobre mí,
porque el Señor me ha ungido
para llevar buenas noticias a los pobres.
Me ha enviado para consolar a los de corazón quebrantado
y a proclamar que los cautivos serán liberados
y que los prisioneros serán puestos en libertad.
[2]Él me ha enviado para anunciar a los que se lamentan
que ha llegado el tiempo del favor del Señor
junto con el día de la ira de Dios contra sus enemigos.
[3]A todos los que se lamentan en Israel
les dará una corona de belleza en lugar de cenizas,
una gozosa bendición en lugar de luto,
una festiva alabanza en lugar de desesperación.
Ellos, en su justicia, serán como grandes robles
que el Señor ha plantado para su propia gloria.
Todo eso es lo que pasa... Al Dios y Padre nuestro sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos Amén.

[1] The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that the captives will be released
and that the prisoners will be released.
[2] He has sent me to announce to those who lament
that the time of the favor of the Lord has come
along with the day of God's wrath against his enemies.
[3] To all who lament in Israel
It will give you a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
a joyful blessing instead of mourning,
a festive praise instead of despair.
They, in their justice, will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
All this is what happens ... To God and our Father be glory for ever and ever Amen.
