Our Story

La Roca started in Puebla Mexico on February 5, 2002. God joined 5 families who gathered to study the Bible and pray. Praise the Lord, this group became a local church, which is now the base for new churches and ministries that God is planting in other parts of Mexico and in Peru. 

Gethsemane Baptist Temple of Anderson, SC, USA, has been part of what God has done through this ministry, as the church that has supported the Sears Family from the beginning.

God has added as time has past more churches and individuals that have supported the different ministries of La Roca

God has allowedus to plant churches, take the gospel to hospitals, to the streets, to the mountains, and to the jungles. He has permitted us to serve in prisons, minister to children with Awana ministry, feeding ministries for children, a childrens home in Peru and a school in Mexico

Jesus Christ, we thank you for the privilege of becoming children of God. Thank you for the Holy Spirit whom dwells in us and for the opportunity to be in your service. We want to walk in the good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in. Help us to finish our course, doing, Thee in us, what is pleasing through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
