★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A modern statue of Christ and chapel on top of a mountain to which you can arrive by cablecar. Nice view of the city below. Best part is a large stone construction somewhat similar to the top of a medieval castle that surrounds the statue; several small chapels dedicated to Saints or passages of the Bible are embedded in the stone building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can't go to Torreón and not visit this place... It doesn't matter what your beliefs are... The view is great, and a feeling of peace and tranquility can be perceived around it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a publicly owned mountain top with huge statue of Christ reminiscent of the one near Rio de Janeiro spectacular views of the city and that wonderful Church fairly new probably will hold two or three hundred people. While we were there many people took a pilgrimage and came to the church. If you go there look over the edge and you can see the steps before the road was built people used to make a pilgrimage and climb probably in excess of 2 miles and 3000 feet up Quite a feat also consider that the average temperature is probably 85 Degrees year-round closer to 105 in the summertime
