La acendrada religiosidad de sus habitantes se relaciona a la aparición de la virgen a los naturales de la comarca, conocida como la virgen de Zapotán o del Espíritu Santo. El Templo de San Antonio tiene una fiesta patronal en honor de la Virgen del Espíritu Santo, con procesión de los peregrinos provenientes de los alrededores. Participan penitentes y danzantes con vistosos trajes que amenizan con música folclórica de tambores, flautas y sonajas además de mariachis. Esta tradición es una muestra del rico patrimonio inmaterial de Nayarit.

The Temple of San Antonio has a patronal feast in honor of the Virgin of the Holy Spirit, with a procession of pilgrims from the surroundings, in a festive atmosphere with thunderous rockets throughout the tour. At the arrival of the procession the ceremony of welcoming the Virgin is given in the atrium. Penitents and dancers participate in colorful costumes.
