El techo a dos aguas de su iglesia, fue recientemente reparado con recursos de la misma comunidad , realizando faenas. Sin duda es una joya del estado de Veracruz.
San José Paxtepec is a community belonging to the municipality of Coacoatzintla, inside it is an extraordinary canopy carved in wood, dedicated to San José. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La parroquia de San José Paxtepec es sin duda la más hermosa y mejor conservada de las construcciones franciscanas del centro del Estado de Veracruz. Data del siglo XVI, llama la atención su techo de dos aguas, cubierto por madera en su interior muy al estilo mudéjar. Su atrio es pequeño con una cruz de piedra en el centro. Nos comenta la encargada del mantenimiento del templo, la Sra. Alejandra que se le a dado mantenimiento gracias a la colaboración de los pobladores. Muy recomendable ?????
The parish of San José Paxtepec is undoubtedly the most beautiful and best preserved of the Franciscan buildings in the center of the State of Veracruz. Dating from the 16th century, its gabled roof is striking, covered by wood in its interior very much in the Mudejar style. Its atrium is small with a stone cross in the center. The person in charge of the maintenance of the temple, Mrs. Alejandra tells us that it has been maintained thanks to the collaboration of the residents. Highly recommended ?????
