Small community with about 1100 inhabitants between Xaloztoc and Tzompantepec. The temple is built in stone which gives it a sober air. The atrium is spacious and breathes tranquility.

La fuente principal de ingreso de divisa es la manufactura y venta de pan, en menor proporcion la cría de caballos y gallos de pelea.
Su iglesia de manufactura con diversos elementos del SXVI (fachada, atrio,almenas,ventanas troneras).
Aunque en la torre existe una "placa" muy rústica que data de 1835 y una campana de fecha similar.
Dedicada a San Juan Evangelista siendo en julio los días que el pueblo se viste de gala y recibe a todos los visitantes con juegos mecánicos, carreras de caballos, peleas de gallos (por invitación).
