★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una de las iglesias más antiguas de San Blas Atempa y de Tehuantepec. Tiene mucho parecido con el templo del barrio de Jalisco en Tehuantepec. Contiene un vestigio de cabeza de cocodrilo tallada en piedra que fue rescatada de una escabación hecha mientras se construía un corredor frente al templo, ahora la cabeza está exhibida en el patio. Al parecer también bajo el templo hay una construcción precolombina, pudiera ser una especie de pirámide, esto se nota por las piedras en la base del templo que son de corte prismático y cuadrangular.
It is one of the oldest churches in San Blas Atempa and Tehuantepec. It has much resemblance to the temple of the Jalisco neighborhood in Tehuantepec. It contains a vestige of crocodile head carved in stone that was rescued from a scab made while building a corridor in front of the temple, now the head is exhibited in the patio. Apparently also under the temple there is a pre-Columbian construction, it could be a kind of pyramid, this is noted by the stones at the base of the temple that are prismatic and quadrangular.
