★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visité Xometla en abril de 1988, anteriormente se llegaba por camino de terracería, con difícil acceso en temporada de lluvia y actualmente se llega por carretera.
Es una comunidad que se encuentra en la ruta al Pico de Orizaba, por lo que los paisajes son muy bellos, de Orizaba viajas a Mariano Escobedo y a la cabecera municipal de La Perla y de allí está ya cerca, mientras se asciende por la carretera se pueden admirar paisajes increíbles, vistas del Pico de Orizaba y el Valle de Orizaba, la vegetación nos permite disfrutar del viaje, entre nubes y nos acerca a sitios de Ecoturismo Villas Pico y Villas Puerta del Cielo.
Es un recorrido maravilloso.
