Fundada en 1535 (placa labrada), su templo fue edificado sobre un centro ceremonial prehispánico y durante la evangelización adquiere como patrón a San Nicolás. Es de fachada sencilla, con una torre barroca, está rodeado de jardines donde destaca una piedra con inscripciones antiguas. Totolapan, whose meaning is "place of turkeys" occupied a privileged place in the Mexica Culture. Founded in 1535 (carved plate), its temple was built on a pre-Hispanic ceremonial center and during the evangelization it acquired San Nicolás as its patron. It has a simple facade, with a baroque tower, it is surrounded by gardens where a stone with ancient inscriptions stands out. Los sacerdotes hacen amenas las misas y explican muy bien las lecturas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un templo maravilloso. Es la iglesia del pueblo de San Nicolás Totolapan, en alcaldía Magdalena Contreras, construido en 1526 y remodelado en 1926. Muy cuidado. Con sanitarios y sala de estar. Atrio muy amplio. Rodeado de áreas verdes. De fácil acceso en auto. Lo recomiendo.
A wonderful temple. It is the church of the town of San Nicolás Totolapan, in the Magdalena Contreras town hall, built in 1526 and remodeled in 1926. Very careful. With toilets and living room. Very large atrium. Surrounded by green areas. Easily accessible by car. I recommend it.
