Aún cuando gran parte del catálogo está compuesto por la obra de diseñadores y artesanos-artistas mexicanos, nuestra selección pretende ir más allá e integrar propuestas de otros territorios, otros universos, siempre y cuando éstas obedezcan a los valores de la casa, como la inclusión y la conservación del medioambiente.
Y es que la belleza no está exenta de conciencia. La relación de las prendas y objetos que presentamos con su entorno inmediato, despliega ante nuestros ojos, mundos que de otra suerte nos resultarían inadvertidos. Nada contiene nuestro catálogo que no sea del todo intencionado.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ IKAL is a perfect spot to check out if you are looking for nice homewares, fashion pieces from local artists and designers or just cool all around gifts. The space is beautifully designed, merchandised with style and the staff were friendly and knew the shop very well. Check it out if you are in Mexico City and feeling shoppy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store has a good selection of Mexican and Latin American designers, but the service is terrible. I was in yesterday evening and they followed me around the store constantly. They didn’t let me stray more than 3 feet from a security guard. When I went downstairs, one of the crouched on the staircase and watched me. No, I didn’t walk in with a Birkin or Prada bag, but I don’t steal things. Wouldn’t recommend this unless you feel like being extremely uncomfortable while you shop.
I went down the street to Lago where the selection was better and the service was impeccable. I bought a few pieces of truly amazing jewelry and they earned a customer for life. IKAL should take a page out of their book.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store. Not quite as "haute" as a lot of the other shops around Polanco, which is good. We ended up going back twice. Picked up a pair of shoes and a new chef knife. The person who helped us (maybe the owner?) was amazing and super helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful store! Great selection of items from artists all over Mexico as well as a wonderful collection of clothing!! Fabulous pottery as well as tableware and items for the kitchen and home. (Mezcal sets etc). Salesperson was very friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff at this store is amazing and they will go out of their way to help you and make everything smooth. I bought twice, in person and online. The second time around they sent me a link to pay and a delivery man brought me my shopping within 2 hours for a small fee, fantastic! Their products are really high quality, I truly recommend you visit them :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ avoid. they mostly sell other brands products and mark everything up beyond what each brand charges for their products - purchase directly from each brand to avoid paying a huge mark up. I unknowingly purchased boots for 800 pesos more than the brand (mezcalero) charges for them, full price, on their website and Ikal would not give me a price match.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a tour today and checked it out, the best in CDMX at the moment design wise I was MINDBLOWN.
If you like beautifully crafted stuff it’s a must, young contemporary design objects and clothes and great taste. (Check their cowboy boots ?) and all combined with local know how and Mexa roots. I never write reviews but I was really impressed.
BTW is it me or do the people working there look like models?! …
