We booked two beds in a four bed dorm and all the beds had bed bugs... they were huge!! They put us in a private room which we thought was great, but the music from the club nearby is thunderously loud 5 days a week till 7am. The breakfast is basic and you have to be up by 9 to catch the pancakes, otherwise its melon, toast or 'coco pops'. Otherwise its budget friendly and the decor is cool.

Stayed three nights and enjoyed it. Location is great, the pool area and the common area is really nice. Great details in the bathrooms and dorms are spacious with nice comfortable beds. No lockers in the room. Overall clean but our bathroom was never cleaned. The staff is just volunteers who don't seem to know anything about Tulum as they cannot help with directions. They just seem to 'work' there to get the free stay. The girl at the reception was stoned during our whole stay which left us with an uncomfortable feeling.

This hostel has some atmosphere! I love hanging out in the cool common areas. Great value for the price - the cheapest hostel in the Tulum area will surprise you by it’s faultless facilities and great vibe. Would definitely stay here again, anytime I’m around. I might actually appreciate some lockers in the rooms for a bit more safety, but I have no bad experience without them either...

We had really bad experience at this hostal cause we found bedbugs in our beds and hostal staffs were pretty cold About to solf the problem. They Just returned us money for one night and didnt want give us money for laundry or desinfection our clothes what is nessesery to do. Room was also dirty and kitchen smells so bad. Fridge was full of spoiled food from guests who already left. I highly dont recommend this accommodation its cheap and seems nice on the photos but is dirty and bedbugs?

Always a ton of vacancy it's a huge hostal super laid back also there's a cat he's super friendly the pool is a little merky and it was like that for almost three months as I had returned to this hostal on three occasions over there months one out of there probly five group stay rooms had air condition very laid back place again tho they're sea shell or conch shell sink taps and shower taps had an aged water smell a little I'd say not a five star place ,down to earth absolutely the shower taps splatter heavy because in comes out in one solid spout the bunks for the beds are all wooden and made from logs with some inner bark showing I supose treated in some way. The roofs had been made from palm leaves of witch on minor occasions left live insects cockroaches on my bed aswell as mice droppings. So choose a bottom bunk. I stayed in this hostal on several occasions termite droppings had also been so common every return each day before sleeping begun with sweeping my bed with a few hand swipes this hostal is cheap for good reasons folks it's beautiful and if you want a good experience not for weak heart travelers this place can help with the dose of Mexico's cheap backpacking . also they have no lockers and the one room that did have them was not a credible structure of carpentry . the hostal was so enjoyable I'd say I loved it and would definetly stay there again next time in tulum. There kitchen is fantastic by the way and so is they're dinning hall. This hostal had down sides but overall I'm a budget backpacker who has a tough travel history and enjoys luxurious occasions at a low price, this hostal is my go to hostal for tulum as I stayed also in other hostals and stayed in tulum for a total of one month with one week at different hostals. There are about 6 true hostalsin tulum and this is the cheapest one.

Very nice hostel, super dog and cat! However the door handles could be fixed as the door was open the whole time

Staff were friendly and the hostel had a chilled, hippy vibe. It feels like you are in the jungle and everything is one with the environment. You are still downtown but in a more local' area with cheap restaurants and shops and nearby the bus station and collectivos. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. There's a friendly cat who invites himself in to your room and on to your bed occasionally. As other reviews have stated, the shower only had cold water. It is also an odd design - it's more like a wetroom as water does go everywhere. The sink does not have a tap but a hole that shoots eater into a hollowed our rock for a basin. It's quite cool but you need to get the hang of using it - I got soaked at first. I did not see any bedbugs but there are mosquitoes and general bugs as there are gaps in the door and roof for them to get through - it is very 'natural'. These didn't bug me much though (no pun intended). The wifi is quite poor and you have to be close to reception to get it. Behind the hostel is someone's house and they have chickens and roosters that wake you up at 3am. If this doesn't, the sound of cars or bikes starting at 6am - and the fumes drifting through your room will. It might just have been my room but it was annoying. There are some anti-vaxxers here and pretentious 'faux' hippies with their iPhones and Macs - make of that what you will.

This place is great for young backpackers with low expectations. I liked area since there was a lot of restaurants and street vendors along the main street. It had a local Mexican feel to it. The social vibe is great. I met some fun folks here. The staff is friendly, not all of them are fluent in English but they try their best to be helpful. The bed was super comfortable, but the rest of the room was lacking. There was only a fan to blow the hot air around and made a lot of noise. We ended up leaving the door open to stay cool, which isn’t great for security. I found a dead cockroach one morning. It also on rained another night, the floor in the room flooded. One of my roommate said the rain was dripping onto her bed. I was glad my luggage didn’t not get wet. The bathroom was a bit dirty but serviceable. Water collected everywhere on the floor but didn’t drain quickly. There was a tree root almost bursting through the wall. I enjoyed meeting fun folks here, but I wouldn’t consider staying again without improvements in several areas.
