Cuenta con una biblioteca con un acervo muy completo que incluye desde textos antiguos hasta los más recientes en el campo de la química.
One of the best chemical research centers in Mexico, it mainly highlights its pioneering work in the chemistry of Natural Products; In this area, the Institute of Chemistry has made important discoveries, such as the discovery of Salvinorin A, an active principle isolated from the hallucinogenic plant Salvia divinorum. Todos los estudiantes de química deben hacer al menos una estancia en este instituto para entender el nivel de ciencia que se puede desarrollar. Se hace investigación en todas las áreas de la química, pero la principal es química orgánica.
An institute with a long history. Fundamental in the development of "central science" in Mexico. All chemistry students must make at least one stay at this institute to understand the level of science that can be developed.
