Ofrece atención psicológica a menores de edad de educación básica y/o a sus familias, así mismo se da orientación a los padres. La enseñanza es otro servicio que ofrece el Instituto de Salud Mental de Nuevo León ya que es una Escuela de Posgrado donde se imparte la Maestría en Psicoterapia Infantil y del Adolescente.
It is a dependency of the State Government that hierarchically depends on the Nuevo León Ministry of Education.
