Aquí se investiga desde teorías que implican la manipulación de la luz a nivel microscópico hasta los fenómenos del espacio exterior como la materia oscura. Es un lugar donde convergen diferentes disciplinas impulsadas con la física. Cada año se realiza un día llamado puertas abiertas donde la gente puede entrar a todos los espacios secretos de este lugar y conocer cómo se hace ciencia en México. Tiene muchos laboratorios únicos, salas especiales, arquitectura única y una historia increíble.
 One of the most complex Institutes of the UNAM. Here we investigate from theories that involve the manipulation of light at the microscopic level to the phenomena of outer space as dark matter. It is a place where different disciplines driven by physics converge. Each year there is a day called open doors where people can enter all the secret spaces of this place and know how science is made in Mexico. It has many unique laboratories, special rooms, unique architecture and an incredible history.

It is a beautiful place where various research and physics classes are taught, you can go as a visitor to see the facilities and there are dates where they show you what is done in the institute.
