★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fue padre subir por los escalones y sentir el ambiente húmedo y oscuro de lo que alguna vez fue la penitenciaría. Se conservan los andadores estrechos y corredores angostos. El edificio, alguna vez penitenciaría, alberga también el Archivo General del Estado de Puebla y la Fototeca Juan N. Troncoso.
El lugar tiene un aire antiguo, la sensación de aislamiento y soledad está presente todo el tiempo en el patio y los espacios; se acentúa a falta de un público que visite constantemente el lugar. A pesar de que hay talleres y otras actividades se siente un cierto abandono. Recorrer el edificio del siglo XIX en estas condiciones es una experiencia hasta tétrica.
Me gustó subir al Archivo General. Para hacerlo debes usar unas escaleras donde apenas cabe una persona, me parecieron interminables debido a cierta claustrofobia de la que no te puedes librar.
Vale la pena caminar por ahi, visitar el patio. Es un sitio silencioso y tranquilo para leer, descansar. Muy raro de verdad. Podría ser un sitio más vital pero ese aire fantasmal tiene su encanto.
It was cool going up the steps and feeling the humid and dark atmosphere of what was once the penitentiary. Narrow walkers and narrow corridors are preserved. The building, once a penitentiary, also houses the General Archive of the State of Puebla and the Juan N. Troncoso Photo Library.
The place has an old air, the feeling of isolation and solitude is present all the time in the patio and spaces; it is accentuated in the absence of an audience that constantly visits the place. Despite the fact that there are workshops and other activities, a certain abandonment is felt. Touring the 19th century building in these conditions is an even gloomy experience.
I liked uploading to the General Archive. To do this you must use stairs where hardly a person fits, they seemed endless due to a certain claustrophobia that you can not get rid of.
It is worth walking around, visiting the patio. It is a quiet and peaceful place to read, rest. Very rare indeed. It could be a more vital place but that ghostly air has its charm.
