We enjoyed our stay here very much. Everything was perfect. Covid safety appeared to be a high priority: temperature check, hand and shoe sanitizer for everyone upon entry to the property, masks worn by all inside the property. The staff was always gracious and attentive. The room was clean and well appointed. We had only one problem: a leaking ceiling in the bathroom and when we discovered it and notified the concierge, she moved us to the room next door within a few hours and it was resolved. We had breakfast in the hotel every morning and the food was very good. It was very convenient to have such a large selection of seven nice restaurants in the hotel.. The lobby bar downstairs provided our group with a nice and comfortable gathering spot after dinner. Going to the salon in the hotel was lovely and convenient and the staff there were wonderful, too. The elevators were never crowded ( great during Covid) and were very fast, making it easy to come and go. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe. We walked to dinner nearby one night and felt very comfortable. During the day we walked to sights and shops and so many things were nearby, so the hotel was well situated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Mexico City. P.S. We also stayed briefly in another luxury hotel in Mexico City and The Intercontinental far exceeded that hotel.

I had a major problem with communication to home. The front desk staff was very helpful and assisted me in solving the problem. Kudos to them. Also, the concierge arranged tours and was extremely professional and of major Aristarchus.

Okay, a business hotel rather than tourist one so a little lacking in amenities but well placed and the little bar across the road is a great place to watch the world go by

Went for dinner at chapulín restaurant Wich can be better. The service took a little long though it wasn't that crowded, not reservation needed... Mexican recipes which I Love, ant-larva, the Mexican caviar, just Great. By the way sometimes the lobby serves as an art gallery, this time it housed Leonora Carrington artwork. I really enjoyed it.

We had an amazing time at the InterContinental Presidente. Excellent location and easy access to all parts of Mexico City. Arriving from an early flight into Mexico City the concierge had arranged an early check in and we stayed in the Alberto Gironella suite. The service and friendliness was superb and all tours and guides can be arranged through the hotel. Our suite had a glass enclosed box shower with built in steam room in the bedroom and the views across Chapultepec Park were amazing. Large lobby area with stunning changing artwork and a great selection of different restaurants and cafes. One of our favourite stays in a hotel. Can't wait to go back.

Amazingly clean and neat, access to a mini bar if you want to. Great central spot and situated around many places only down side is that as an English speaking tourist it felt a little short of bilingual speakers( including but not limited to reatuarant service, hotel staff and even in hotel entertainment such as the TV)which would have been nice, I mean there is but it is very limited.

I have been staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Polanco, Mexico City for the past several years. I have always had a very good experience but this past time it was an exception: Lobby Bar , I went with my husband to have a drink and sat at the bar, service was terrible - the waiter that was there didn't even greet us when we sat, he just put a couple napkins on the bar and ask what did we want, I ordered the drinks, then a waitress came and asked if I needed something else so we ordered a glass of white wine ... she poured the glass of wine and we HONESTLY thought it was for my husband to test the wine, and she put the bottle away, I laughed and asked if that was the wine glass size and she said it was, and I am not lying when I say it was not more than 3 cms of wine on the glass. She was not nice, she responded very rudely and from there on they did not even looked at us or asked if we wanted anything else, everyone else was offered a small size of 'botanas' snacks and they never even asked if we wanted some. Bad experience overall , we could have gone right across the street to Karisma where we were always greeted and the service was amazing ! Glad to tip a good amount for that kind of service !! A shame that we did not get the same service in a hotel where I have been a frequent guest. * Room: never got any refills of coffee, never got any disposable coffee cups to go even though I requested them , my kids stayed in a room on the same floor and they were not allowed to charge the Room service tab to our account - my daughter is 19 years old, she is an adult and was treated like a baby whose not reliable. I have a high status on your Loyalty program and is really disappointing when don't receive the service and attention that you expect.

I’m giving this hotel 2 stars because while it is clean, the room service and cleaning staff were really nice, the front reception and concierge were absolutely inadequate in attending the guests. First, the concierge was almost useless when it came to helping us. They first neglected to let us know that the day we were planning to go into center city, it was international women’s day and huge, dangerous riots were common. We soon realized the entire city and locals knew this as most places were closed or boarded up, yet the concierge made no mention of this and let us (foreigners) go out into a dangerous situation. Next, when we asked how to get to the Chapultepec Castle, they led us down a path that after 20 minutes of walking, led us to a closed gate and forced us to walk back to the beginning just to have again locals to help us find where we were going. Incompetent to say the least. Second, we stayed at this hotel for a total of 3 days, and in these 72 hours, we had to get a new key 7 times. Everyday, our original keys would get deactivated and we’d be locked out. We informed the hotel every morning, afternoon, and evening about the issue, but nothing was resolved. Having to wait outside your room for 15 minutes late night for someone to AGAIN make a new key is not ideal. To make matters worse, our final day, when we were ready to head out to the airport, we again get locked out. We called down from our floors phone to the front desk five times over 15 minutes to let them know the issue, spoke to 4 different women at the front desk. All said they were sending someone up. Not until we went down ourselves, grabbed the manager and brought him upstairs with us, we’re we finally helped. Naturally we are late for the airport. The hotel then set up a car (not complimentary despite their fault for making us late) to take us to the airport. The estimated travel time to the airport is about 25 minutes, and even accounting for some unforeseen traffic, let’s say 35 minutes. Our driver, who the hotel claims had 30 years of experience, was not even able to follow his navigation. All four of us passengers got on our own phones to check the GPS, and told him multiple times where to make a right or left and he just kept refusing. Instead, he was taking us through traffic, and naturally, any guest would be furious as we were now about to miss our flight. After 45 minutes of the drive (now 20 minutes longer than it should have been), he took the wrong turn 3x, to only make our ETA 30 minutes later than it should’ve been. During this drive, we even called the concierge to speak to the driver since he wouldn’t listen to us, and he had the audacity to be talking badly about us and that he knew where he was going. Little did he know, we understood Spanish and the entire rude conversation. Luckily we made the flight, but by far this hotel, the staff, and the vendors they associate themselves really put the global name of the Intercontinental Hotels and IHG as a brand in horrible light.
