★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The authorized taxi service wanted 250 pesos to get to Bacocho. We walked 3-5 minutes toward town and found one who took us for 100, no problem ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taxis are THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE of this city. They ALWAYS try to over charge.
In general it should be $50 peso a ride but when you first get out they will try to charge you double. Be ready to ask before getting in and say good by to those drivers who inflate cost.
There is no standardization or easy to access information.
You are nothing but a walking wallet to them.
It taints the cities experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Airport is TINY. AeroMexico check-in, Hertz Car rental and Passenger inspection for Security are all crammed into same (small) corridor - so can get v.v.congested. Staff are friendly though. They wave goodbye to you as you leave from the tarmac - which is a v.nice touch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are never people working at the airline kiosks … No plugs … Slow service … Over 10 people were denied from an Aeromar flight yesterday even though everyone was there over an hour before departure. Jajajaja it’s a joke of an airport and no one does anything to help you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought there is nothing worse than the airport on the greece island Santorini but this here tops everything. There is literally nothing after the security control besides one little counter for food & bebidas. Check in as late as you can, we did a mistake and checked in two hours before the flight but your stuck in a small crowded room where you can do nothing at all so don’t do the same mistake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poorly managed, poorly staffed, almost no facilities available. Somehow every staff interaction is unpleasant. No information desk, nor staff available to answer questions (our flight got rescheduled, the airline counter was closed and after speaking with anyone at a desk, no one had any information or offered any assistance).
Any interaction with this airport will cause you stress and negative emotions, get there as late as possible and do not go past security until you have to. Even better, fly out of Oaxaca airport instead.
