I am a native English speaking psychotherapist from the U.S. I received my Bachelor´s degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I received my Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy (MFT) from Alliant International University with a focus on international counseling. 

I am a systemic/cognitive-behavioral therapist. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on maladaptive or negative thinking patterns that cause maladaptive behaviors or “negative” emotions. Systemic therapy focuses on the context of the individual and is present-focused. I believe that your current context has an influence on your mood and therefore your behaviors. I am very present-focused in my work, and while we can’t change any difficult situations of your past, we can change how we process and feel in the present. When individuals come to therapy, many times they feel stuck and have tried many things on their own to escape their current problems. My goal is to help you become “unstuck” and help change any negative perceptions that might be contributing to your current situation. I hope to be able to provide you with the necessary tools that will allow you to experience a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
