★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think I had a bad start, everyone tried their best to accommodate me, but I think school lacks experience in dealing with international people and helping teachers and staff to be happy, not just students. Students are encouraged to have a say in their education which I agree with, but it has got to a point where students have too much control over teacher decisions that undermined my authority. For example if the student disagrees which a grade usually the teacher will have to change that grade, which in turn does not represent their true ability. I was once referred to as 'backpacker' by my management, which undermined my experience and skills. Housing for people abroad is not to the standard I expected from the school, but this is due to inexperience with international people. (Housing had no water, gas, or washing machine) Alot of work and very little recognition, and some staff very clique-y. There was alot of subtle put-downs and passive aggressive behaviour from some staff, which made work a toxic environment. Also lack of communication. as I was always the last to know if there was a room change for example. Overtime work for extracurricular activities for students were not paid for and often required to work double shifts. Also The school promotes that it is bilingual but all meetings and training are in Spanish making international staff feel left out and marginalised.
Some teachers have been there 10 years and have not been promoted or their talents recognised by upper management, so signs of nepotism. School wants you to create projects and be 'constructivist' but in practice requires alot of work and collaboration but teachers are already busy, I wanted to create a booklet for international students who are new to the school and English but other staff to depressed, overworked or negative to help.
To be truly international they need alot more teachers from different cultures and events that represent people from those cultures. However teachers there are really talented and skilled and most teachers are Mexican natives with great bilingual skills, however those talents were not capitalised on. Many of the students I felt did not feel represented by the school, for example, maybe the school could have a Japanese new year event or Korean dress day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a pay for graďe school. They give grades to students that aren't even attending class. If you're looking for a stable job, this is not the place to work. The owner has a God complex. They recently built low income housing in the back parking lot for international teachers, they're horrible. The school is out of touch with students and teachers. This year alone they have fired or lost 12 teachers(just in Middle School). Students get bullied and nothing is ever done. There is a psychologist named Alexa but she sits in her office all day doing absolutely nothing. It's sad that this school is going downhill! The students call it a joke because you can tell the teachers there are not qualified. Most of the teachers aren't even college graduates. They have a Spanish teacher named Maggie that thinks kids should be able to do whatever they want to do in class. This year's test results from the SEP shows that her teaching is disastrous. My advice is to check the qualifications at this school and know who is teaching your kids.
This is not an international school it just has the name of international.
